I don't remember a single SDC easter egg hunt so far that has gone down well with even a majority of the people who attend. I don't know why they keep doing it.

They should either just hand them out, or have a controlled area where a set number of kids can hunt at a time like a lot of churches do these days.

Thanks for the reports though. With Easter behind us, Summer is just around the corner...

Junior and Cousin Bubba have it about right...

On to summer! I'm ready for the saloon show and to see everything up and running at full go!

Cousin Bubba: I lived in Forrest City 1990-2003, and was news director at KXJK/KBFC Radio. My radio pal Rob was manager of KFFA in Helena for a few years in the late '90s. Sunshine Sonny Payne, the host of King Biscuit Time, is an old collegue of mine. I covered news in an eight county area of east Arkansas, and covered news in Shelby County, TN (Memphis) and two NW Mississppi counties, as well. Enjoyed my time there, but  now NW Arkansas is home.

No!  No!  Don't wish that much time away!  Definitely looking forward to summer!  Fall is my second favorite season (Summer, of course, is first - but don't all teachers feel that way?)  I love the Blues and BBQ.  I even like Kid's Fest (only during the week to look at the new kid's books and see what ideas I can find to use in my classroom).  Bought a cool "Throw the Chicken" game last year to use during the PTO Carnival.  TOMORROW is the big day - leaving for B-town.  Have never been to World Fest before!  I'm excited!!

Did anyone go to WorldFest today? If so, how was it? Did you stay for GAC Nights? How was that? What about the saloon show?

The picture people do get on my nerves as well, especially when I want to get a photo outside at the entrance with the family on OUR camera, and they are like vultures out there!

that is probably the one thing I dont like about our city....
trying to make a nice leisurely walk through that area and enjoy it,
BUT instead we walk fast,

shake our heads no
and dodge the cameras,,,, ::)
