Anybody try the BBQ skillet?
« on: May 14, 2013, 05:43:54 PM »
How was it?

I just read about it in the paper. Too bad I'm already home. Is it only available during the BBQ fest? I think it's at the rib shack.

Pulled pork, onions and potatoes? Can't go wrong there.

Though, I will confess to being a BBQ snob. Hey, I live in KC. I know my BBQ!

I tried it, thought the portion was very small for the price....flavor was great...  they just need to double the serving..

Most skillet dinners, including the BBQ one, are now $9.29 per small bowl. We tried it. It was okay. Don't think we'll order again, though.

I tried it on opening day and liked it a great deal!  Good flavor mix though the lady fixing it could have been more generous with the sauce (maybe not entirely her fault as she was alone facing a long, grumpy line).

My favorite skillet is the Lumbercamp, but this one is a close second.  I don't like the others with sweet potatoes or squash in them.

When I am homesick, I make the potato, and or succotash bowl, maybe I will work in the bbq bowl for me as my wife avoids meat!
