My hubs and I are from Northern WI. and come down for 10 days to  2 weeks at a time. We don't ride rides any more. We go to SDC every day they are open. We listen to theHomestead Pickers and HorseCreek. Visit with Terry Sanders,Mandi and Roach. Will go to listen to others that are in the Park too, but mostly the Pickers. If they weren't there , we would not drive 900 miles to go to SDC. After  going to the park since the late 70s, we still come down 3-4 times a year. Miss a lot of the old crafts and more entertainment.

If you look down to all the benefits, it lists the 10% discount for regular season pass holders.

I know that Classic Motor Inn did not treat KD well. Some of it was her fault for not standing up to the owners. We have been staying there for all of our visits sonce the Patel family has owned it. We tell them when we book our rooms that we want the Silver Dollar City fans tate of $40.00 a night and have no problem getting it. The rooms are clean and they have updated some of them as well as the regular breakfast room by the office. They have been very gracious to us.

Sanddune....we did not stay at Homestay, but at Classic.....sorry for the mixup....I had a moment of brainfade. We are coming down the last week of Sept thru the first week of Oct...2 weeks. Hope it cools off by then and Bob gets to feeling better.

Sorry Sanddune....We  stayed at Classic the end of May to the first week in june. Hey honored the $40.00 a night like always for the SDC fans rate, but you have to remind them of it. We had no problems there at all. They even delivered the newspaper to our foom. The breakfast is upstairs now with redone breakfast area. It is much better with more room  without being in such close quarters. We did stay one night at Ozark Valley Inn, but we  like Classic better.

Okie... .we stay at aHomeStay Inn and when you call and tell them you want the SDC fans rate of $40.00 a night they honor it. The new owners are Indian and have treated us exceptionally well. The rooms are clean and the breakfast area by the check in desk has been updated.  As long as we keep on  getting  the rate we will keep on staying there.

A larger friend of ours who was in a power scooter similar to what your description is....used the bathroom by the First Aid station. It was easier for him to use that one and it usually was vacant.

We stayed at Ozark Valley Inn last night. Was only a one night stay as we had reservations since February at another motel . Our stay s good, but next time we stay at Ozark we will want another room away from the pool and hot tub. Was noisy. But will stay there again.  Andrea was very nice and helpful, breakfast was good..
