Well it wasn't a worst experience, just a strange one...this past Fall Festival when the tornado struck and everyone had to wait until the trees were cleared in THE CITY....Danny Eakin came out front and later was joined by Greg Bailey and Greg Becker, and they played with Ken (the accordian player) entertaining  and trying to keep people happy... Danny cracked up when I asked Ken to play THE CHICKEN DANCE... (it's played at most we4dding dances up here)it was fun making the best out of a tense situation trying to pass the time away.

We also agree that SDC is the BEST or we wouldn't travel 900 miles down from Wisconsin  several times a year. Sure there were some inconveniences thia past year. not enough to whine about.Hope  we can visit  3 or 4   different weeks this year, yes we go to SDC  every day weeks at a time.(Have grown to become great friends with the HOMESTEAD PICKERS, on and off the park).

2009 Season Passes to SDC......only made it down 3 times  this year...our gas was $4.59 a gallon in September...it's now $1.98..Happy New Year to all!

We're from far Northern Wisconsin where the gas is now $3.79 a gallon.Plan on going to Branson the end of this month for 2 weeks...will be staying in cheap motels and eating cheaper this year too.Don't like the preferred seats at SDC...people are paying enough for being there now.
