There has definitely been a generational culture change regarding the aesthetics. Back in the 90's people would have screeched at the "clean" vintage aesthetic they have going now. Today if people saw the trees growing through buildings, the crooked roofs, the hillbilly decor, etc. - they'd say the place was "ghetto". Just give it another decade or two, and it'll swing around...

Interesting. I've never seen the owner listed in GIS not be the actual owner of the property, but I do have minimal experience with GIS.  I learned something new today.

SDC/HFE does not own the land that White Water currently sits on.  That land is owned by the City of Branson, and leased to them.  The City of Branson also owns the land that Ballparks sits on.

I'm curious why you say it is leased. The county GIS shows whitewater land as owned by whitewater and the ballpark land owned by the ballparks of America.

The Fireman's Landing play place now has a single entrance where you can go to either the ball play place or the other play place. The old entrance into the ball play place is closed off the area outside of it is now covered stroller parking.

Did they fix the floor in the ball area? Or add more balls? At the end of last season it was pretty rough in there.

You won't have to look very hard to see work being done.  I'm already bracing myself for the complaints that will be incoming.  It's pretty drastic

Since it was released by someone else - can confirm now that the HH restrooms have been completely redone for this season

Did they keep urinals that go all the way to the floor? My kid loves those.

I don't think we will see much more than a ride and resort. Maybe a small gift shop for the ride.

Talking about non-coaster rides, I'd love to see a modern remake of the diving bell. never got to experience the original and despite operating less than a decade, lost of people still have nostialgia for it. As much as I hate to say it, flooded mine feels like the next removal. I really don't want it to happen, and they have been doing some work to the light guns, but its still fairly unreliable and costly to maintain. Wouldn't mind if it got the FITH treatment as long as it is in the same place with similar scenes. This wouldn't the first time Flooded Mine has been re-done.

Same. I've never ridden the diving bell but would love to see it resurrected.

I've said for a while I'd like to see the flooded mine replaced with 2 rides, one would be a shooter ride(I'd love for it to be an omnimover for capacity) and a water ride with scenes inspired by the original flooded mine but with a little more storytelling.

Have there been any announcements about White Water upgrades this off-season? has anyone seen any work going on?

The lack of significant investment in White Water keeps making me think part of the $500 million decade-long SDC improvement will be a new Water park adjacent to SDC.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but I want you to admit to yourself that you're also one of the big reasons why this board has died.  Why would anyone want to provide any info that's not been confirmed by the park when you continually treat other posters the way you do. 

And heaven forbid plans change and a person dared to mention out of date info then you're always one of the first to say something like "see you don't know anything"

If you could quote/link my posts where I've done this then sure, I'll admit it. But I think you've gotten me confused for someone else, considering I've only had 100 posts in the last 6 years and haven't told anybody that "you don't know anything". Yes, I checked my post history. So please, if you think I've treated anybody else poorly then go head and give me the links so I can apologize.

I'm not really sure what swoosh is talking about, I can't think of anyone on here that regularly tells people they are wrong besides swoosh.

This whole season the forum has been a bit quieter than past years. I don't think that can be put on anyone person. Some people have moved away, some people are going less often. There are lots of other things going on in the world. I still appreciate those that are here and the opportunity to talk about SDC. Discussing the things we like, the things that are frustrating, and things we would like to see(even if we are wrong) is fun.

There's 2 areas that came to mind.

The flooded mine and out to the waterbogan area... part of me wonders if they would close that path and relocate the pottery shop and popcorn giving them a bit of space to work with. But that doesn't seem very likely. A suspended or flying coaster in this area could be really fun.

The original fire in the hole location seems obvious for development. It would be a good spot for a flat ride at least, but could be a little bigger.

2 additional spots that seem possible are the maintenance area by fire in the hole. That courtyard just feels designed to expand to the west... in that space it could really be anything.

Between wildfire and powderkeg.. you could really put any kind of coaster there.

I think there is a lot of interest in a mother high thrill coaster, there are also a lot of people asking for more rides that the whole family can ride together.

Yes, bringing back Percy's(or a new concept) would be great.

I never had big jacks, but enough people speak highly of it is like to have it come back so I can try it.

The parade, yes! A few things I've thought about are new floats(maybe one for each section of the park), a marching band... I think there are lots of possibilities to give it a little more life.

As a parent I'm on board with more family restrooms!

Grand Expedition needs a refresh, replace faded banners, fresh paint, a few more midway games and a cotton candy or mini donut stand. The smell alone from one these would make a big difference. More benches and rocking chairs. Finally the restaurant in Midtown reopened with rotisserie chicken menu.

Yeah, grand expo definitely needs a refresh. I'm hopping in the festival area they add some restrooms. It would be nice to not have to go all the way to red gold if you're at the elephants with little kids. If they do add restrooms hopefully they will have more than 1 family restroom as a part of it.

What improvements or changes do you want to see at SDC in 2025?

Here's 2 that are at the top of my mind:
1. Fireman's play house needs a refurb. It has a lot less balls and bags than it did when it opened, the floor has some spots that are decaying, and the whole building needs a deep clean.

2. A better "all season cup", I liked the all season cup idea but the cup they used is annoying. Please use the same style as the regular refill mug.
2b. I'd really like to see a system where you don't have to get a new cup(or vip tumbler) every year but can instead just reactivate them. Either a chip in the cup or scanning your season pass seem like possible solutions.
