We will be at Classic late Sept 7 ,leaving Sept 18.

Have a good trip, we will miss seeing you again...  maybe next spring?

Be safe.!

It's been about three years since I've been to the park but from the discussion it seems the traffic is getting worse. Is the traffic already backed up if you head out there by 8:30 or is this a later in the morning thing?  Any better to come in from the south?  I'm in agreement that the park growth will stall if the parking and traffic isn't addressed.

Traffic at or before 830 isnt bad,  BUT dont wait any longer.. it get busy in a hurry... worse on sat than sunday...

 ::) ::).  just a matter of time.....

frickin ridiculous.. >:(

... and just as soon as I post that nothing is coming, DW announces that their river battle is closing soon and that more announcements are on the way concerning future projects...

LOL>  i read that also, thought the same thing you just said :o :o

I also think a flight from Denver would a good thing for the area...  But I dont know the logistics of cost/overhead and what it takes to make tht happen....  must be cost prohibitive or they would offer it

[/quote] Still sounds like the insect and frogs will be moving this off season to HDH.

The relocation of those kiddie rides to Half Dollar Holler is a smart move. It needs a bit more to "hold" people.

It will make a centrally located area for a Mom to keep the little ones while older ones and Dad hit the big stuff.

Wonder what type of ride SDC could put down in that area if it is available.

I think the PTB would be smart moving 2 or 3 popular kiddie rides to HDH.. I dont think it has the "draw" they were expecting too...  And if they could get add some popular rides that would split the kids up between 3 areas...

Whatever will people have to talk about when Tuesday comes?

I would guess we will hear about the fools that burned their eyes because they didnt take precautions.... that and the accidents and road mishaps caused my people not paying attention to the road ;)

supposed to be cloudy here today, and is cloudy right now...

I would say they were short on entries for the actually show...

the parade was little lacking also, lasted about 30-35 minutes, but I think they were trying to beat the rain..

I would expect next years to be bigger and better with more participants, With new management/owners, new money and more marketing.

On another note... the car show seemed to be a big success..   seemed to be lots of quality vehicles and the parade was pretty good..

Hopefully bigger next year..
