We haven't been back from break yet.  Today (Wednesday) is still another day off, and we'll see what the clouds drop tonight.

Sanddune....the ribs were great.... enough for leftovers.....maybe tacos or enchiladas.... I like pork ribs better, but we had the beef ones since we bought a half of angus beef from a farmer friend.....good thing we bought the beef at a good price.....my news feed said the price is going up. still cold here....-19 last night, but a balmy 0 now.

We are now TWO days into the 2nd semester.  :)
Had a pretty good day with good rehearsals with my bands.  Other than SIS going down, it was a great day.

ICE!  NW Arkansas was doing great yesterday morning with two days of warmer temps and sunshine. Then, about 11am, the misty rain started to come down. Very cloudy, coming home in evening commute was OK until about 6pm, when it started to snow. Cold temps over night. This morning...ICE BLACK ICE SLUSHY ICE ICE ICE....ICE, ICE, BABY! (Sorry, couldn't resist that one.) Stuck at home, at least for a few hours. Temps are to warm, cruddy weather moving east.

It's snowing today, but beginning to warm up and should be in the low 30-40's starting tomorrow.  That's a virtual heatwave!

We got snow today in Central MO.  Everything south of 50 and north of the river in the Kingdom of Callaway were closed.  The schools right on 50 (Jeff, California, Tipton, Sedalia) were all open -- everything East of Jeff was closed as well.  Osage County schools must have been hit harder than us, they've been out all week.

well we only ended up with another inch of snow on Wednesday night. But it was a slick snow. I took a tumble in the parking lot after work (trying to get to my car). Im not really hurt, but sore as (W)ell. I fell face first and slid about 10 foot on my belly. Only real casualty was 3 missing buttons on my coat. Still cant find them on the parking lot.

On a worse note. I got a call from a coworker on the way home Wednesday. "Did you make it home safe?"  I was about 4 miles from home at that time.  Anyway he said "Hope you have better luck than me-I turned on my exit ramp from the highway, and slid all the way downhill, over a snowbank, into a curb, slid around hit the stoplight post"  THANK GOD he is fine-no injury at all-but his car is toast.  And that was on an inch of wet slick snow.
---to make it worse, my wonderful bosses laughed hystarically at him Thurs. about the wreck. Not once did they say anything about being sorry he wrecked, or glad he is OK, NO! They just laughed at him.

Now today (Friday 1/10/14) it is about 40* and lots of rain.  Calling for nice weather all next week.

Snow, ice...GONE! Warmer weather, some rain. Temperatures in the 40s and 50s for the next week. Yeah, I'll take that! ;)
