So far we have about 1" of sleet. They are still calling for 3"-5" of dry puffy snow tonite.  As of right now, roads are good (here). We went to the grocery store this afternoon. Roads were in decent shape (about 50 MPH) was a safe speed.  Local schools already called off. I bet they wont call my work off though. (A 2nd day off next week would be nice)

So... we haven't had anything since early this morning (little ice pellets).  However, EVERYONE has called off for tomorrow.  Mmkay.  Whatever.  I get to watch all of the Oscars now instead of going to bed halfway through

Here in Central Arkansas, we have a lot of ice on the grounds/streets/tree's etc. It began Sunday night around 7:00 and lasted well past midnight. State offices, along with most schools are closed today (Monday 3/3).

Weather in Central Oklahoma is yucky. Icy and stupidly cold. Very dangerous.

Just down the road a bit in El Reno, OK, we had a 16 year old killed and his 5 pasengers in critical condition after a wreck on Saturday night  :'(

So much for the cold weather.  It has warmed up into the 30s today and most of the "ice-snow" is melted.  Honestly there is no reason that we are out of school today.  I sure would have rather been in school today with district music contests coming up next week.

We had 4 inches of sleet during Sunday with an inch of snow overnight here in North Central AR. Although it was sunny today, temps were in the 20s and not much melting happened. Going to get into single digits again tonight so everything wil refreeze.

Branson, reports are 4-6 inches snow on top of 1-2 sleet on top of 1/4 -1/2 ice.!

Webcams show streets are clear,

School cancelled again today..... that's 15 days for them.

Schools closed in Central Arkansas again today; State offices opening at Noon. Not much melting yesterday at all, sand truck came through our neighborhood yesterday, sand just sitting on top of the ice. I've been sick with a cold since Sunday, so I'm staying in no matter what the roads are doing.
