Thanks for the re-post Shavethewales and thanks for the comments everyone.  The great thing is, everyone here in Florida knows of my SDC connection and they all love the place too.

That reminds me of two years ago when the talking trash can at Animal Kingdom asked my wife and daughter about some theme park in Branson.  Try as she did, my wife could not get the guy to say Silver Dollar City.  I think it is very appropriate for this to be on your badge.

Me too, heck...we're big enough to accept a little competition.  Also, we know what it's like to celebrate a 50th anniversary.  That is too funny about PUSH the talking trash can.  Clever little trash can.

Husband and I were at SDC on Tuesday and Wednesday last week.  Weather was great on Tuesday.  Arrived mid-afternoon in time to see the last Rhonda Vincent and the Rage show of the day and the last Nothin' Fancy show of the day; both were excellent.  On Wednesday we got to the park before opening.  Saw all 3 of Rhonda Vincent's shows and all 3 Balsam Range shows.  Rained on and off all day and we avoided rides due to the large number of school groups in the park.  Wednesday was the first day for ICEES to be sold in the park.  There's a cart with 6 - 8 flavors between RiverBlast and the train trestle.  Husband tried to buy one but at the time there wasn't a price list or register available at the cart.  It was finally operational later on in the day.  Did buy 2 bottles of BBQ sauce at the booth on the Square; would have bought 3 but they were out of 1 type we wanted.  By the way, Show Lovers pass is now accepted for the saloon show.

Hey!  If anybody goes to the BG&BBQ Festival this weekend and sees The Stockdale Family Band perform, please say hi to them from me.  I got to perform with them a few years ago and they're friends of my brother.  Also ask them about their stint on "Wife Swap".  They were good several years ago and I understand they've gotten a lot better now.
