I have not ever had a chance for a $10 ticket  I live 6 hours away.

I don't think it was a jab since I have worked under alot of political parties.
Good and bad.  In two years times I lost a $76k job due to the economy.  Took at job at $5.25 a hour as a teacher s aide.  I am slowly working my way back up

When I was a student worker I only made $2.35 an hour in 1976.

I will come to SDC as often as I can.

Now I will get off my soap box

In reference to those ornaments, do they not sell them during the holiday season in the shops? Seems kind of demoralizing to force your customers to visit your business five times a year just for a silly ornament.

I think the ornament is just something fun and extra for those who visit often, why not give something like that?

FYI:  You can purchase the ornaments for ALL the previous years they have available at the customer service building for $10 each, ANY time of the year.  Last year I was able to fill all but 3 that I was missing, buying 1 or 2 at a time, skipping meals on those trips.  I was thrilled to get the 3 Celebration City ornaments!   ;D

Tinmann: Oh, cool, I didn't know you could get ones from the previous years!

Ozark BBQ: I really don't see it as "demoralizing" nor do I see it as SDC "forcing" anyone to do anything. Like I said before, the ornament as it is right now, can be bought by anyone for a low price. If you come to the park several times, you get it free for being a multi-repeat visitor. It's just a perk, that's all I see it as.

Sorry, Twinsmom; I wasn't referring to your post. The "jab" I was referring to was the term "obamaconomy" in another post. I don't mind if we discuss the economy because, yes, it does affect us in terms of how often we get to visit SDC, but I think using sly terms like the aforementioned is just a bit too much and threatens to offend someone (and, yes, I am one of those someones). Plus, it takes a couple years for an administration's good or bad effect to be felt, so this economy is something that did not originate under our current administration.

Anyway, I don't know what our admin feels, but personally, I wouldn't mind a thread in Random Talk for people to discuss--politely--any political stuff they need to get off their chest.

Ok, I was the one that made the comment, and I am sorry if it tended toward offensive-certainly not meant in that way.
Vote to end 2020!

I think we all just need to step back and get back to the subject at hand.

I can't wait but I will be in Branson Friday afternoon!!!  I am calling in a sick day - sick of being in Illinois and in need of a Silver Dollar City fix.

Well I did not win the Mega Millions so I have to work alittle longer :(

Has anyone tried the spiral cut potatoes on a stick? I did not take the photo, but found one online...They looked good, and had both Regular and Sweet it appeared....

Sorry for getting a bit riled up. I usually just try to stay quiet, but sometimes I have difficulties keeping it in. Back to the topic at hand, indeed!

Yes, I got a sample of those potatoes a couple weeks ago... Eh. I dunno. Just tasted like not-quite-so-crispy potato chips.

Thats what I assumed from looking at them in line for Echo Hollow. I like the crispy chips from the Lumbercamp. I do like the larger assortment of toppings/spices that they offered for them-I just wanted to try those

Actually if they seasoned them just right, they look like very tasty treats!

Perhaps a barbeque flavor next? :D

Yeah, a different seasoning would probably do the trick.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been around much the past few weeks. I have gone back to SDC twice since I attended Opening Day and still have no complaints. The character's are such a huge bonus. I wish they could always be there.

Anyway, here's a collection of the photos from all 3 of my trips. Some of them were taken with my point & shoot and aren't as good as the ones I took with my Nikon DSLR.

I love the new spiral potatoes!! They were a great snack and not too expensive either.
