As far as the flooded mine ride, I'd love it if they did for it what they did for fire in the hole... unlikely as it may be

Hm. I'd rather they have a dedicated road so that they dont have to deal with public traffic but at least we'll keep the one original entrance. Probably a good choice for now to save money. I wonder if any signifigant changes will be made to the front entrace parking.

I don't have any visibility on plans, but long before the resort was announced there were plans of replacing the entrance.

I am still wondering how the park and resort are gonna connect.

Mobile food ordering is coming to the City this season. Sadie's Pretzel Cafe is the only confirmed location so far, but it will be available at multiple locations.

Hopefully this significantly helps with the lines....

I don't know why I am going to jump into this and arm chair quarterback...but here goes....

Safety is the responsibility of everyone working at the park - the leadership and the workers.

1.) Workers/All: See something - Say something (leadership cannot address issues they are not aware of)
2.) Leadership: Must look at every incident and every report from workers and take action to remediate however possible.

A proper culture fosters safety and does everything required to improve.

Obviously I have oversimplified the issues and safety is a struggle everywhere to varying degrees. (This is not just a Theme park issue)

I have serious doubts that the new ride will be called Fire in the Hole or be linked in any real way --- I think they will likely want a new name and also to break some record (tallest/fastest/darkest/something to set it apart) in order to attract new visitors.

Probably a new food stand or re-opening Percy's with a new concept or something. I do like the label too. They are really good with the graphic designs these days when they take the time. They've come a long way since the days of "bleeding cowboys" fonts that crept in when they started switching over to digital printed signs.

Or take it back the Mary's Spring House days of the pasta, etc. - prior to the "Chipotle, Qdoba, etc.) style.

That was always our go to place to eat.

Dollywood updated guest flow at their front gate this season.  I'd be shocked if this isn't the direction the park is headed

Sugar Leaf Bakery is the only reason that we go to Grand Village. If it was in a different location I don't think that we would ever go to the shops.

I expected a new entrance for everyone - not some special season pass perk for the more expensive tiers.

Brad's video mentioned a revamped entry system, and there will be a different gate for those passholders who opt to pay the higher fee.  We've talked about the entry being remodeled for a couple of years, and it sounds like that might come in some form for 2023 - another vintage memory succumbing to progress - but we just can't be sure how intrusive the new system might be on the classic entrance.  It may be no more than a dedicated turnstile.

Good! But I suspect if Dollywood keeps the black out dates going forward...this will eventually transition to SDC too. 

Dollywood has released their 2023 season pass details. Their silver passes are blacked out from Thanksgiving through the end of the year. Will be interesting to see what happens with SDC pass levels for 2023.

The 2023 season pass website doesn't show any blackout dates.

With the discussion of the Fire in the Hole location becoming the new location for the depot and the loop being opened here for traffic purposes....if it was me I would remove that stand completely as it is a hindrance to traffic flow.

I hope it returns to the flatbreads, but I'm doubtful it will. being a seasonal/festival food stand seems likely.

Has anyone else noticed that they didn't actually say anything about pork rinds, it feels like not specifically saying they are coming back is a bad sign for those waiting for their return.
