General Silver Dollar City Talk / New entrance policy
« on: December 11, 2015, 08:29:18 PM »
Be warned that the park started a new policy for entering the park. ALL guests entering the park must have their bags checked before entering.  There is also a higher security presence at the entrance and the main area.  These officers are very visible with coats emblazoned with large font SECURITY on them.

Also they are really cracking down on BAFs.  You must be present with the guest and have proper ID to show it is really you.

Just wanted to let people know to plan for slower entrance procedures through the end of he season.

Let's use this specific thread for discussion on what *may* be coming for the 2017 season

Branson Talk / New Branson Entertainment Survey
« on: August 03, 2015, 04:45:37 PM »
Not sure how many have received this, but here is the link to the survey:

[Moderator Edit:  The link provided gave the opportunity to change Swoosh's answers, so I removed it.  Sorry, Swoosh:  I just wanted to protect your answers.]

It looks like they really are trying to reinvent the entertainment aspect of town.  Nice to see that they are are at least attempting to be proactive about it.  The two entertainment shows they are promoting as potential shows are... interesting.  The "musical" is... well, WOW (and not in a good way).

[Moderator Explanation:  Suffice it to say that the survey asked respondents to rate their willingness to attend a magician show or Duck Commander the Musical.)

Just conducting a hypothetical survey of the attachment of certain items in the park to SDCfans.

Branson Talk / Dolly acquires Lumberjack Feud / What about Pirates
« on: June 14, 2015, 11:01:39 PM »
Now that Dolly Parton has acquired the Lumberjack Feud dinner show in Pigeon Forge, how long before we see this concept duplicated and perhaps come to Branson?

Also, will Pirates Live ever come to Branson?  The Dixie Stampede in Myrtle Beach was converted over not that long ago.

Construction/Rumors / Your 5 Year Plan for SDC
« on: August 08, 2014, 07:13:53 PM »
I know we have a lot of "arm chair imagineers" here on our board - so I am curious what your 5 year plan would be for SDC.  Start with 2016 since 2015 is obviously already in place.

I'll add mine here eventually, just curious what you would do -- keep it as reasonable as you can, but at the same time money is not an issue.  ;D

3. Mizzou Volleyball - UNCONTESTED SEC CHAMPS!  34-0!!!
