SDC sent out a survey on a family rollercoaster coming in 2029.  This appears to be something like Big Bear Mountain or the new Werewolf Canyon coming to SFFT in 2027. 

My thoughts are that THIS will be the TNT replacement.

PROJECT 2027 TRACKER

Purpose: This thread was created to track the progress of the new attraction being added to Silver Dollar City for the 2026 season. 

CONFIRMED NEWS
1. Dalton Fischer from Silver Dollar City confirmed at ACE's NoCoasterCon on January 18, 2025 that SDC was adding an "additional family attraction besides the new resort for the 2026 season"

2. Numerous park guests have stated seeing officials conducting land surveys on and around the land between PowderKeg and Wildfire.

3. Markings related to land surveys, including paint marks and flags, were viewed in the area noted in point 2. 

4. Large amounts of tree removal and earth moving has already begun on and around American Plunge

5. Lots of site clearing has already occurred around American Plunge and beyond PowderKeg and Wildfire

6. Flags have been spotted on the construction site

7. New BOH Road has been built to get equipment in and out [COMPLETED]

8. Unused portions of the old Jim Owen's ride flume will be removed

9. First two large footers have been installed near Wildfire

RUMORS (Will be updated as information presents itself)
1. Mack is the front runner for design firm

2. The attraction is being described as a major thrill ride that most of the family can enjoy

3. American Plunge, Wildfire and PowderKeg will coexist with the new attraction. 

4. The exit for the ride will go through the cabin next to PowderKeg

5. Entrance to the ride will be on the Lumbercamp Falls side of American Plunge

6. The ride will extend into the woods past the two current rollercoasters but unsure how far. 

7. There will be a new pathway connecting the American Plunge path to the Powder Keg path and will connect next to current PowderKeg photo stand

8. Theme will be Marvel Cave Mining Company

9. The ride will feature many "cave" tunnels

Well this is a complete surprise. 

At ACE's No Coaster Con this weekend it was announced that a new attraction would be built on the remnants of the now defunct go kart track under under the Boss' queue line.  No other details were provided but they did go right after SFOG who just announced a new Skyline P'Sghetti dueling kiddie coaster, so who knows. 

I thought we already had a 2024 thread but apparently not. 
Since FITH2.0 has been delayed to 2024 let's move discussion on the project to here to keep things tidy.


With that being said, the ride has gone vertical.  You might be able to see it from the firehouse if the lights inside are on.  Of course the windows are filthy so you won't be able to get decent photos.  Can confirm that there's supports up.  There might be some track as well, but that's still a "rumor" for now.  We're not sure if what looks like track is track or just a different type of support.  Remember RMC track looks like supports so it's hard to know for sure until confirmation

The partnership between Herschend and Stone Mountain will officially end August 2022 according to this article.  It is not the sole topic of article, but it is mentioned.  Sounds like Herschend is just exercising its right to not extend the agreement due to the current "woke" culture that wants to cancel everything.  They (HFEC) are just excusing themselves from the situation as soon as they can.

Corporate is treating All-Season Dining this year at Dolly's Splash Country in a test run to see if rolling it out chain-wide soon is a feasible possibility.  Here's a blog post about how the program at DSC will run this season.  Price points are not stupid high either, but the time restriction on when you can use it is not the best.  I can foresee long lines occurring as people try to use their passes all at the same time

BRANSON, Mo. — A major change is coming to what is known as Branson's first show.

The famous Baldknobbers after-show manager, Brandon Mabe, fired his father, Tim Mabe.

Tim played a character named 'Droopy Drawers' in the show.

Brandon, Tim and his wife, Patty Mabe, posted their feelings about the family shake-up on Facebook.

Patty wrote asking for prayers because they had just recently filed bankruptcy trying to keep another of their businesses going.

She continued to write that she was in shock and grieving not only for Tim losing the job he loved but for the loss of a 60-year-old legacy and legend, Droopy Drawers.

In response to the posts by his parents, Brandon posted that he loves his father and that every decision is made with the best interest of the family, business, partners and cast.

Fans and friends of the Baldknobbers are passionately coming out on different sides of the issue on social media

"I don't know all the gist about it," said Dee Dee Sanders, a Branson resident. "But, I just feel sad because they're one of our founding families and I hate that something like this would have to happen."

"I've worked with the family for most of my life and it's really hard," said MaryAnn Rivero, Branson resident. "Unless you're right in the middle of it..you don't really know what to do."
