General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: SDC adds an Extra day to schedule
« on: December 12, 2017, 11:04:19 PM »
...it probably would have been better if they had announced them earlier.

They actually announced both bonus days back on December 4th, if not earlier in other places.

Looks like the park will be doing a Facebook livestream on Tuesday at 6:30 PM.
They are teasing it as a delivery from Germany. Maybe the trains werenít still on a boat as they said and are actually much closer to arriving.

It does look like there will be windows out the back of the building on the queue levels. Still not close to something like WF though.

From the USA Today article
Quote
According to Brad Thomas, president of Silver Dollar City Attractions, the indoor queue and load station will showcase the story of Charles Henry, a turn-of-the-century clockmaker and inventor who resides in Silver Dollar City and is captivated by the science fiction tales of Jules Verne. Gears, cogs, and other steampunk flourishes will adorn the building.
"The first level tells the story of Mr. Henry's time-keeping creations," says Thomas. "However, the second and third levels start revealing Charles' big dream of creating a contraption capable of time travel."

NOTHING has been said by anyone about that building...??  it has a full concrete basemen/bunker under it.  But no indication of what it is...

From the drone footage, it looks like the building doesn't line up with either of the launches and it in-between them. I assume that it will just house the equipment for the launches. Also, in some of the photos from today, it has a roof now.

Since I cannot do tight circles like tea cups and the such...

I wonder if it will be less of an issue since you will be facing out from the center of the spinning on Time Traveler instead of facing in on something like tea cups.

It does look like it is temporary and that the ramp does a 180 and returns back up the hill to meet the part that goes up the stairs from the station.

A few pictures from today. I'm not so sure that Poke Salad Mary's is leaving. The ramp is complete to the left of it and the walkway seems to take a turn toward the old Thunderation arch.
Also, there are three small roofs on the walkway.

Doing a quick property search online, this is what I found. The land in blue is owned by SCHOOL OF THE OZARKS & BRANSON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH while the land in green is owned by an SDC connected company.

What do you think the chances are of this being the first coaster at SDC with a lighting package on the actual cars?
Something simple like Helix has.

It's interesting that the walkway takes a turn to the left behind Poke Salad Mary's. I expected it to stop and not be completed until Poke Salad Mary's is removed if that is the plan.

From sdcfan88's video.
