Its too bad the CC lot couldn't be redeveloped for that. That or use the land next to the dug out cliffs on 376.

Oh!  it could be done,,
just have to find a developer to design it,
Get some intitial investors,
then contact branson for TIF's, and other financial goodies....  LOL.

then they could build it.!

As much as I hate to admit it, AP needs to be ripped out and completely replaced.

And you know that will probably happen after the new attraction is open,

What will fit in the footprint? about anything they want to...

They aren't asking for "free land", they are asking for permission to build into the ROW for their giant octopus thing that will interact with the sidewalk. This is something that Branson has encouraged developers to do as part of the Spirit of 76 project.

Tax incentives are a no-brainer here. On a macro level, they get abused a lot, but if you want big, unique developments you have to help them along. They are taking a bigger risk vs. someone building a walmart or a hotel. If this gets built, everyone will benefit from the increased traffic. You can't really say the same about most general development (although developers certainly try to).

Shave, I understand very well what your saying, and what they are asking/requesting....

It just seems everytime something major is proposed they builders want money, incentives, tax breaks, and special considerations.

The article said the octopus would be within 10ft of 76. .  that is too close, especially if it s a moving display... it will distract drivers, regardless of what they say... If it is that BIG, we can see it in the parking lot...!!

As far a bigger development, I just dont agree with it..
IF you have a money making project, get your financing and build it.  A money maker will pay its own way...
If  your not sure? raise a couple million dollars and ask for breaks and incentives, if the project fails your not out any money, take the deduction, and you can move on to the next "project"

Just the way I fell about it, My opinion..  No disagreements, no argruments.

Like almost any other project in town...

they want tax incentives,
free land,
"give me this, Give me that".!
More free stuff..

YEAH!!   we will build that..!

Any best guesses of projected / anticipated crowd attendance numbers for this Saturday 11/17?

with predicted weather forecast, and looking at the numbers for the last couple of sat's...  I would guess 16-18,000 people..

Only concern is if they retheme it to be more PC friendly as it has already been done with a couple scenes. (gun shooting/hanging scenes)

I sure hope they do!  :o :o

I am quite offended by some of the scenes...  ??? ???

And they need to change the "headlight" at the end.. It hurts my eyes...  ::) ::)

And what about the poor canaries.. all caged up and never fed?  Someone call PITA!!!! ;D ;D

I'm sure this has been said by someone before, but maybe #504 is a sign they are gonna expand the train in the next couple years? Expand it in a way that they can run 3 trains at once, with one back up engine. I hope they keep the train robbery show, if they do change it up!

Yea, I dont see an expanded train route...  the current route is really pretty long, tours most of the city,  lots of cruising in the woods,  room for a train robbery,  cruise back into town behind the lake,  which of course will look all new and different in 2020.

No the current route will suffice for many years..

That seems light but then again, it was cold and last I checked most of the coasters appeared to be closed per the app.

As of 6, this evening, 16,500,  about 3500 short of last week..

I will try to check final numbers later.
