From what I understand, its something like 17.99 a person. You get to choose ONE protein for a table of 4 with 4 (??) sides. Thats it. I believe its all you can eat. NOT a buffet. NOT a menu. It is what it is. I wont eat there. That is a ton of cash for my family. Especially per person.

Ouch!  Thats higher than Golden Coral without the selection ( I said nothing about quality).
This is a bitter pill, maybe they will adjust the prices for the area.  I think thats a little high for the off season dont you think?  Maybe catch the tourists but on the landing they have to keep cranking during the winter.  They are going to have a hard time.  I wish them well

Its a major Corp.  they wont adjust prices according to season,
they dont care about locals..
They are building it at that location to get tourist money..
if the locals buy thats ok too..
The company will get a big shock next jan-march.   LOL

Never have been to one of hers, But seems way overated.
good food is good food
A good Buffet is a good Buffet.

I will continue eating at locally owned places.. Try to keep the money in town.

Does anyone know if they have room for trailer parking?  I might be up this weekend but will be pulling my 18' car trailer.

I will be there this weekend as well...

No gaurantee about parking ,
but according to google earth view, yes parking with trailer should be ok..
looks like the NE corner has room to back in,
also SE corner near the trash dumpsters.

Looking forward to this weekend..!

I am really getting excited to try it out.  If I am not mistaken I am thinking they have a hot tub out by the pool, is this correct?

The pool has water but the hot tub/jacuzzi did not when we were there Sunday night.

I saw on FB, Pool and Hot Tub are open. Ready for enjoyment

If AP is leaving, it wonít be anytime soon as thereís been practically nothing said about it in rumors.  FITH and FM on the other hand are pretty much roars with FITH being the loudest (new open in 2021 with current timeline) and FM being a little more of a mystery (it might not even be replaced at all - their words, not mine - itíll just be removed so they can drop in a newer project)

I didnt speculate AP would be gone in the next year or so.

But more when it is gone, it will be replaced with something different.   Like in line with your thoughts about FM.

Mystic River Falls Construction from Mother's Day
https://www.midwestinfoguide.com/2019/05/mystic-river-falls-sdc.html

So we have a name? Wonder if the other trademarks were just to throw folks off of the scent? Or if they will be elements of the story of the new ride?

If it is Mystic River Falls, I'd say that further supports what the photos and speculation point at -- that this will feature a lift and a slide.

i would bet on lift and slide,

I expect this attraction/ride to replace Lost River AND American Plunge..

AP will come out and probably another coaster will grow in that location.....   IMO

Another good set of pics..

I like the pic of trough with Cat Skid Loader beside it...  puts into perspective how big the trough actually is..

Other pictures we have seen trough looks small with the massive construction going on around them

Well with that being said hopefully the PTB will take note and either make some vast improvements or do something different altogether.

I dont know the Logistics or problems with planning a "competition",  but that would be a bid draw..
Always GOOD food if there is competition for number 1..

I might get some flak for this but the BBQ was very underwhelming this year in both quality/freshness and selection. Granted I went on a slow Wednesday but still disappointing.

I dont think anyone here is going to argrue with you,   seems like everyone has the same "below par" thoughts and feelings about the BBQ.

I dont think you will see the "hillbilly" look come back to Echo Hollow,
If they are indeed trying to get in some big names.
It will need to be more modern look, or in this case...... A very neutral look,
Just needs to be updated in size and "mechanics"..  as it is now.

I cant make an honest excuse for it.  Hillbilly was not the only way they could have gone with a theme.  I believe this was a big mistake.

My thought is IF they do get "big" names interested, they probably are not going to want to play at a venue that is heavily themed, let alone a HillBilly theme..

I asked one of the workers that I often talk with what was going on with Echo Hollow.  The story is that Sherry Herschend was in the green room last season and was appalled at the condition and size of it.  She wanted it brought up to speed so they can attract big name bands.  Thus, the new Echol Hollow!  Will it remain as is, very plain and unassuming?  I was told that yes, it would remain as is.  New equipment and staging was purchased to improve sound and performance.  I hoped they would bring back the old look, but it appears that it's not going to happen.
