Looks like opening for the season is going to be march 5th..

Give Andrea a call for your Season opening reservations..

Also she did contact me and they are making some changes on the room rates and Blackout Dates.  I suggested that she post them accordingly.  Once posted I will change the Opening post to reflect changes..

You might want to verify your room costs when making reservations,,!!

COME ON WARM, DRY WEATHER!!

Talked to Andrea today.

They have not set an opening date yet, But assured me they will be open before SDC opens on the 17th.

I asked her to post as soon as they pick an opening date.  Sounded like it will be the first or Second weekend in March.

I am gonna take a wild guess since they are redoing the pathway/bridge heading to WF and got rid of a bunch of trees that they removed the waterfall feature and leveled the surrounding area.

I would hope you are wrong..  there would be some clearing done,

but they wont eliminate that area until they decide to put a ride or expansion area there.

I expect the Rate to be the same,  they were very happy with us staying there and it works out well for all of us.

As far as opening I dont know,  I sent Andrea a message and called and left a message at motel...  As soon as i hear something I will let you all know.

I do remember seeing something about they will be open for Valentines weekend, IF that benefits any of you...  LOL..

will keep in touch,

lets see, technically I can think of at least 3 more...

there is a bridge by leather and knife shop area, going across the "stream", which is actually drainage from rain water,,

Also 1 bridge to overlook the downhill run at AP.

Then the bridge(s) that are part of the Queue line for WF & AP.

Yeah I already saw some talk about the old Valley Road bridge being torn out and replaced. Not sure about anything else so I will refrain.

Ok since you mentioned it, Iíll confirm.  Yes the Tressel bridge has been removed and a new bridge thatís about 10í wider has replaced it.  Thereís still more...

That will be much wider, and will change the approach from both ways quite a bit..    But that has been needed for a long time.

Hope they kept the "ambience" of the area, sounds, hooves, trees and so on

Wow, 10 feet wider? That's a huge difference

I dont see anything on the website about this event...  except that it is an event by itself.

Festival of Wonder ends a day or so before,
And Bluegrass and BBQ starts after..

Only detail I see is that Sat may 2nd park is scheduled to be open until 10pm

How do they keep track of your one use per day?  I had just about decided I was going to skip a year but then decided I had to check out the new ride.  I made an impulse purchase and went all in and got the trailblazer pass too.

Do they "scan" the pass upon entry?  if so that is how they will monitor trips.

With the New Mystic Rivers,
The Boardwalk all new and Revamped,
New RibHouse,
The expanded Pumpkin nights next year,  (well this year),
More Arts and Crafts (as there should be)
Cowboy attractions coming back,

No reason for it not to be a record year!  It will be a good year.!

""The most difficult posting of our lives.

Dede Edwards Sanders & I, with grief-stricken hearts & pain beyond all measure, lost our oldest son, Austin Sanders last night (Sat., Jan. 11th, 2020) in a 1-car accident. We truly appreciate your prayers, love, & condolences. Please respect our privacy as we work our way through these difficult hours & days as we prepare a celebration of his 29 earthly years & lay him to rest. You are welcome to leave messages here, no phone calls, please. We have spoken to our family & closest friends all morning & now wanted to let you all know. We will announce funeral plans in the next few days. If you know any of our friends or Austin's, who need to know, please share this with them. Thank you again for you for your love & understanding.
