Right on, there is no world in which this new ride opens in 2026 lol. SDC does an incredible job of marketing new large-scale rides (which is what this is). This will not be a "small-scale" family ride or anything like that. It will be a massive family ride with a ton of tech and features that will take every bit of another year and a half to complete. However, it will be well worth the wait. Herschend also does not open large attractions at SDC and Dollywood in the same year.

Coaster

Fan Fest is going to be all resort updates and teases, along with smaller things coming in 2026. Festival lineups, food/beverage, etc. There's no way this ride opens in 2026. As others have said, SDC hypes up their rides for months on socials and we would have already gotten an announcement.
"May there always be a Silver Dollar City..."

It'd be nice if they used 2026 to make some upgrades with theming to American Plunge. Would give them something ride related to market before the other major project in the area presumably opens in 2027.

^ And/or fixed Thunderation.

What's wrong with thunderation? It was smooth as butter when I rode it in July.

Clearly I'm using the wrong kind of butter if you're using that to describe TNT.  I was there in August and it has never been rougher, especially the helix.

2026 they need to add a falt ride, either a Larsen Flying scooters in the extended que area for Outlaw run or a Bumper car ride in the biulding next to Tom Sawyers Snacks. Also add New Shows for Christmas. The Christmas Carol has run its course. Something better.

It was a little bumpy in the helix  tunnel admittedly, but everything before and after was super smooth. There was no shaking, jolting, or jarring after the tunnel up to the lift hill.

I'm glad you had a good experience.  It's such a great ride; I'd love to see a direct re-track that keeps the same layout.

I can confirm that thunderation was much, much smoother. I'd still like to see a major overhaul though.

Duelist

^ Well I may have to give T-N_T another chance when we go in October then.  It's been a couple of years since we've ridden because the last time I did it hurt my back enough that I had trouble walking the next day.

I would love to try out TNT but now days my neck and back are so stiff I am afraid to try it. It is one of my favorite rides there.
