QuoteIt was a little bumpy in the helix  tunnel admittedly, but everything before and after was super smooth. There was no shaking, jolting, or jarring after the tunnel up to the lift hill.

I'm glad you had a good experience.  It's such a great ride; I'd love to see a direct re-track that keeps the same layout.

I can confirm that thunderation was much, much smoother. I'd still like to see a major overhaul though.

^ Well I may have to give T-N_T another chance when we go in October then.  It's been a couple of years since we've ridden because the last time I did it hurt my back enough that I had trouble walking the next day.

I would love to try out TNT but now days my neck and back are so stiff I am afraid to try it. It is one of my favorite rides there.

Here it comes... Marvel Cave Mining Co.

Just more teasers, they are gonna drag it out for another year... 2027 project confirmed.

So it's going to be launched. And have a cannon theme? Or be themed to Mrs. Tilley the daredevil?

Wildfire

I hate to be that guy, but here goes.  I honestly didn't think they would announce the new ride, but why make such a spectacle over literally nothing?

Duelist

Yes the Fan Fest was Shakespearean: Much Ado About Nothing

"Literally nothing"?? Why, they renamed the boat! Huge news!

Fan Fest was 100% what it was advertised as. No one should have expected a ride announcement since there haz been zero teaser campaign.

They aren't just renaming the Showboat, its getting a remodel, seating arrangement is changing, new show, and new menu. I wouldn't be surprised if the dock area gets a remodel too.

There were a ton of other announcements from merchandise, foods, festivals, concerts, and the new Star, Lights, and Christmas Nights parade. Just because there wasn't a ride announcement doesn't mean that there weren't announcements.

It was a fun event and they did a great job hosting it.

^ From the talk on this board I really wasn't expecting them to announce the new ride for next year.  And yes I thought Choctaw Charlie was entertaining but to me they didn't really have anything I would have considered big for a Fan Fest.  But it was nice for them to have a Season Pass Holder exclusive showing (even if it was streamed to everyone).  We have been Season Pass holders for 35 years now ourselves.  And it was really great of them to offer active military free Season Passes (Season Passports I guess now).  Did you get an ice cream freebie, MG?

Based off of what has been happening so far, pictures, what needs to be done, and what I can see, this looks to be a Ride Package. 2 rides for the price of 1. Both of these rides are going to interact with each other. 1 ride, we know mostly what it is. The other looks like we are finally getting our version of Chiapas, a Forwards/ Backwards Flume Ride. I say this because American Plunge needs to be rebuilt, we have been waiting on this rumor, and now it suddenly closes down for construction. The plans seem to be coming to surface. They might add in a flat ride too, but it's still too early to tell.

Other than our version of Chiapas, I have been wanting a coaster that can give me the big pops of airtime over and over again for years now! Ever since Celebration City closed down, actually. For me, Wildcat did that. Now, I have realized that GCI isn't the only manufacturer that can do that. I REALLY hope this coaster includes at least 3 bunny hops in a row and goes like 50 MPH over them!

A note to some of you as well: Remember, the new train station is going to be built at the site of the old Fire In The Hole, probably after this construction is done. Then, our version of Mystery Mine should start on the current site of Flooded Mine/ old Waterboggan Tower. Yes, I know we do need a shooting ride/ another indoor ride. I don't know where that will be or if that is in the plans, but I am hoping and praying for a Sally Dark Ride, because they are always highly themed, they have great guns, and usually have Black Lights, which I love.
