Thanks again for the photos mg! With this much clearance around AP, one has to wonder if any changes will come to it. They went through the effort of extending the tunnel, so I assume it is sticking around. I wish they would extend the flume a little after the tunnel and add some more thematic sections like the old days.

Very odd that this construction is taking place on both sides of AP. Seems like more than just a coaster station. Hopefully we'll end up with another set of bathrooms along with more storefronts to fill in this corner of the park.

It's definitely a 2027 addition. We'll see how much they announce on the 27th. They must have something they are bringing in for next year, other wise having a whole "fan fest" seems overkill. On the other hand, what they consider a big announcement and what we might are often different.

My current pipe-dream for this project is that it's actually going to be a new named area that goes out past Wildfire and Powder Keg, enough to where you can watch the drops for both rides. Do I expect the latter to happen? Definitely not, but it would be cool to see. I could however see this as our first actual expansion project.

If SDC is getting a coaster like Big Bear Mountain, it could be ready for next year potentially. Big Bear didn't have track show up until September 2022 and the ride was done on May 12, 2023. So if SDC gets track in very soon, it could be ready to go by late May or June 2025.

I just saw this comment on a prediction video on youtube. It's 3 months old but pretty interesting if true.

I don't think it will be a 2027 project if they are having an announcement even this year. That would potentially push people to skip 2026 and just wait until 2027 to come when the ride opens.

JLWGames is an employee as far as i know (he has a youtube channel where he recreates sdc in planet coaster, and as stated he is an employee multiple times), but i actually think we will see this ride open 2026. if its a smaller scale family coaster, it wont take as much time to build, and they need to attact customers to the resort. that being said, no way its open for all fo 2026. probably mid-late 2026, just in time for the resort to open.

legoerosion

We're not going to get a coaster announcement next week, please temper your expectations. They do extravagant marketing campaigns for new rides, usually with a few months of build up before the announcement. This 'fan fest' will probably go over some smaller additions next year, with one thing being the replacement for Rudolph's parade (confirmed in Facebook comments). They will also probably go in-depth with the resort now that it is vertical. The room types, accommodations, packages, perks, etc. They just recently filed a new trademark for a new logo to be used at the resort. https://uspto.report/TM/99384792

" S, D, C™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of resort hotel accommodation services; Hotel accommodation, restaurant and bar services; Provision of facilities for conferences, exhibitions and meetings; Rental of banquet and social function facilities for special occasions, namely, wedding receptions, birthday parties and special events.

We may get a vague hint or two, but nothing concrete.

Right on, there is no world in which this new ride opens in 2026 lol. SDC does an incredible job of marketing new large-scale rides (which is what this is). This will not be a "small-scale" family ride or anything like that. It will be a massive family ride with a ton of tech and features that will take every bit of another year and a half to complete. However, it will be well worth the wait. Herschend also does not open large attractions at SDC and Dollywood in the same year.

Coaster

Fan Fest is going to be all resort updates and teases, along with smaller things coming in 2026. Festival lineups, food/beverage, etc. There's no way this ride opens in 2026. As others have said, SDC hypes up their rides for months on socials and we would have already gotten an announcement.
"May there always be a Silver Dollar City..."

Tmboote

It'd be nice if they used 2026 to make some upgrades with theming to American Plunge. Would give them something ride related to market before the other major project in the area presumably opens in 2027.

What's wrong with thunderation? It was smooth as butter when I rode it in July.

Clearly I'm using the wrong kind of butter if you're using that to describe TNT.  I was there in August and it has never been rougher, especially the helix.

Jesus4me

2026 they need to add a falt ride, either a Larsen Flying scooters in the extended que area for Outlaw run or a Bumper car ride in the biulding next to Tom Sawyers Snacks. Also add New Shows for Christmas. The Christmas Carol has run its course. Something better.

It was a little bumpy in the helix  tunnel admittedly, but everything before and after was super smooth. There was no shaking, jolting, or jarring after the tunnel up to the lift hill.
