Welp here we go!

While I would love for it to be a ride, I’m half expecting it to be the return of indoor entertainment based on the building in the photo.

I agree that may be it but it may also be the beginning of the teaser campaign.

I already did.  I even posted a picture of it.
Now if you’re talking what’s going to be behind the fence, that’ll have to wait.  Lots of moving parts right now going on behind the scenes.

@Swoosh. You may have said this in the past but do you have any connection with the park or are you just a fan? Seems like you have plenty of knowledge on what is happening/going to happen!

Let’s just say I’ve been around the industry for a long time and leave it vague.

Over the week-off days, the fence has grown and is now extending behind part of the smoke area in front of the waterboggan tower. If this is really the gerstlauer coaster, I can definitely see it. Challenging terrain, possibly having to work with the train tracks (above/possibly below it). This could be a really unique thing going here.

Hopefully it won't be a clear cut demo of the natural landscape like their past few attractions.

EDIT: Looking back on a couple other posters who mentioned it, could it be possible that they are indeed finally demo-ing the tower which would necessitate the need for a fence? Nothing more, nothing less?

Anyone else see the news about the RMC family hybrid?

It has me wondering if the construction at SDC is related. It seems like a rough spot to fit a coaster into, especially if they stick to SDC’s norm of keeping coasters mostly out of sight.

I'm not saying it is or is not anything as big as a new ride - but I don't think it is just taking the tower down:

Apparently they are just re-working the pathways to accommodate crowds. The pumpkin nights trail is being widened somehow. I thought it was pretty undersized when they first built it.

As for the next coaster, I don't think SDC is going back with RMC anytime soon. For a family coaster, they will probably go back to Vekoma or Gerstauler.
