It blew just North of us at the last minute. it was literally on our county line about 5 miles away when it blew North East. It left a 3 mile path of destruction 15 min. from here though, but nothing close to what we had a month ago.

St. John's hospital in Joplin took a direct hit.

We had been down at Jasper for 4 days to watch my sister graduate from Fort Scott Community College.  When we left Jasper this morning I remember looking up at the sky and thinking to myself that I was glad I wasn't going to be in the area today because the sky looked real evil.  Low and behold I was right.  We had our own share of bad weather up here in Northeast Missouri today too though, but nothing to the level Joplin experienced.  Amazing that I was in that neighborhood that got destroyed on Friday.

I live 25 to 30 minutes to the west of Joplin in Kansas. I work for and Ambulance service and we have sent at least two trucks from our station and others from other stations in the county. Please send all you prayers this way as the destruction is terrible.

watching the weather channel this morning.

the coverage there about the massive damage to joplin is very good.

Good luck to everyone there and nationwide that has been affected by storms this weekend.

Prayers going out to you.!

Whew! We got marble sized hail and strong wind, rain, and lightning here at Pea Ridge last night. The warning sirens sounded several times. Nothing like Joplin though! That's near enough to us it makes us shudder. We pray for all in the Joplin area!

We are north of the storm area, but there are many needs in Joplin.  Reports are that we lost 30% of the city.

Currently in Little Rock it's overcast with very thick, and sticky humidity levels. However, I will take this over tornados any day.

It hasn't stopped raining and rumbling all day.  We should get a break in the middle of the night that will last until some time tomorrow before it starts up again.
