Yeah, me too!  Those sudden summer storms can be wild.

This morning before 5:00 AM I was awakened by a loud crack of thunder. It totally caught me off guard as I was sound asleep. I got online, and checked the weather radar. If I wasn't half awake I wouldn't have believed it, but this storm couldn't have been bigger than five square miles across, and it was the only storm in the entire state! Why it decided to pop up in my neighborhood is beyond me. :D

Well, let me put it this way about where I live in Central Arkansas: our water bill is gonna be high this month.  :(
You have a great past just ahead of you.

With all of the severe weather about, do we have a roll call? Severe weather is supposed to hit here in StL tomorrow afternoon/evening. They are calling for thunderstorms, hail, and possible tornadoes. stay safe ya"all

Duelist

Yeah, are all our friends on the site from Oklahoma doing ok?  We were spared the brunt of the storm system here in Arkansas.

Thankfully My family and I are alive and well. If any of my fellow Okies need anything. PM me. Thanks.

Bad evening for storms in OK, AR, MO, and KA. We had hail and heavy rain, funnel clouds, and a tornado here in NW Arkansas. Worst damage I think was south of Ft. Smith. We are just wet here in Pea Ridge. Whew! Hope all made it through the storms safely, no matter where you are. :)

There was a lot of flash flooding in the Ouachitas. The Scott County sheriff and an AGFC ranger were killed in a flood.

Kb,? where is that area your talking about?

It's cool with "on again off again" light to heavy rain in good ol' central Illinois.  Stay safe, OK!  A weather warning for tornado watch in OK just flashed across my phone!

The Ouachita Mountains are in Western Arkansas. It's the Ouachita National Forest.

Yes, western Arkansas. Scott County is Waldron, north of Mena.

river flood event eerily similar to that of the Camp Pike flood a few years back. The Fourche LaFavre and the Cossatot rivers rose 20 ft. within hours.

Seems the region south from I 40 is getting trained with  heavy rain storms this morning.
