I do believe that is accurate. An Opera House worker told me about it Sunday, and that they are only letting in 150 people at a time.

That's it, thanks! I guess I overlooked it. They cancelled it for a couple of years, and I think they brought it back last year.

Is the Cowboy Fest out again? I didn't see anything listed on the website. Their latest webpage is not all that user friendly, so maybe I'm overlooking it.

It became a problem a year or so ago when someone convinced the county they wanted to put in stores, spas, attractions, etc., but they needed a stoplight and entry to get people interested in coming there. The stoplight was horrible because there was no visual clearance and there were many mishaps. You'll notice the stoplight has been pulled - thank GOD! - and now there's been no mention of the new business area.
I thought these stop lights were put in just after the land was put up for auction and sold, which the article says was in 2017. I do know that I haven't been through that area since Dec of 2019 and they had been up for a long time before that.
I actually never remember the lights being functional and working ever. The framework for the lights with turn lanes were there for a very long time, but I just can't remember the lights being in working order because there was nothing ever put in for them to be used for.
Pintrader, I was only partially correct as my hubs told me. The lights were installed in 2018, but weren't yet functioning before they were pulled. He says what I remember are the construction lights, and they did surprise a few drivers coming up the hill. Here's some info I copied from Branson News - "The other reason the developers for the property, MD&D Investments, LLC, are starting with the intersection is what Troen calls a "sense of place."
"It was really critical to say 'Look, here is the Ridge at Table Rock Lake.' Here is a place where you can say 'Ah! We've arrived,' and you can turn into the place, and to do so, you need to have a proper place of entry," Troen said. "The signal is the key to doing that."

The County released a statement that told visitors that wanted to get a closer look of the Indian Ridge site that they would be cited for trespassing. I found their statement to be clever by telling people to go visit other Branson attractions that were fully open....
Crazy how Indian Ridge has been sitting out there forever, and just now it's become a problem because of TikTok. The way TikTok influences behavior is scary...it's not just cute annoying dances anymore.

I've always done "arrive after 3, next day free", but really seeing the park for the first time takes at least three full days.
I think I read that is no longer in effect.

Hindsight says maybe they should have just extended the 2020 passes all the way thru to 2021. I am increasingly less and less impressed by the PTB, seems more geared toward the money these days. What isnt though?

It's the overall look of it that's unappealing. Very generic -

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Run to the Lights
October 01, 2020, 03:02:38 PM
For those that participate in this annual race, I just read that Run to the Lights has been cancelled for this year. If you're already registered, you'll be getting an email about it soon. Bummer, but I understand the reason why.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / SDC website

Have you looked at the SDC website lately? I don't think I've really looked at in a year, but i did today, and I think it's awful. It's not as exciting, or unique, to view at as it used to be, and I think it's harder to use. I couldn't find the whole month calendar anywhere - just the click on phrase for a specific days' events.

Simply put, nonsense!
I have been a season pass holder for 30 years. A long as I can remember they have "managed" the cinnamon rolls just fine at Sullivan's Mill.
I'm not saying have all the foo foo "speciality" flavors. Just the original like we watched Frank, the baker, make for many, many years.
Yes! I agree with you!

I hope the shark infestations don't scare anyone away from returning to SDC.
Anyone else following this on the park's social media? It's been a lot of fun to watch.
Yes! It's been very entertaining! They have one heck of a talented person handling their social media.

Branson Talk / Re: Branson Strip 2020

Weren't they expecting federal money for the revitalization of the strip, but they started before the money was in hand? I remember discussions about needing to finish the small section they started and struggling to fund that without the feds money.
