The County released a statement that told visitors that wanted to get a closer look of the Indian Ridge site that they would be cited for trespassing. I found their statement to be clever by telling people to go visit other Branson attractions that were fully open....

Crazy how Indian Ridge has been sitting out there forever, and just now it's become a problem because of TikTok. The way TikTok influences behavior is scary...it's not just cute annoying dances anymore.

It became a problem a year or so ago when someone convinced the county they wanted to put in stores, spas, attractions, etc., but they needed a stoplight and entry to get people interested in coming there.  The stoplight was horrible because there was no visual clearance and there were many mishaps.  You'll notice the stoplight has been pulled - thank GOD! - and now there's been no mention of the new business area.

I've always done "arrive after 3, next day free", but really seeing the park for the first time takes at least three full days.

I think I read that is no longer in effect.

Hindsight says maybe they should have just extended the 2020 passes all the way thru to 2021.  I am increasingly less and less impressed by the PTB, seems more geared toward the money these days.  What isnt though?

Check!

It's the overall look of it that's unappealing. Very generic -

For those that participate in this annual race, I just read that Run to the Lights has been cancelled for this year.  If you're already registered, you'll be getting an email about it soon. Bummer, but I understand the reason why.

Have you looked at the SDC website lately?  I don't think I've really looked at in a year, but i did today, and I think it's awful.  It's not as exciting, or unique, to view at as it used to be, and I think it's harder to use.  I couldn't find the whole month calendar anywhere - just the click on phrase for a specific days' events.

Simply put, nonsense!

I have been a season pass holder for 30 years. A long as I can remember they have "managed" the cinnamon rolls just fine at Sullivan's Mill.
I'm not saying have all the foo foo "speciality" flavors. Just the original like we watched Frank, the baker, make for many, many years.

Yes!  I agree with you!

I hope the shark infestations don't scare anyone away from returning to SDC.

Anyone else following this on the park's social media? It's been a lot of fun to watch.

Yes!  It's been very entertaining!  They have one heck of a talented person handling their social media.

Weren't they expecting federal money for the revitalization of the strip, but they started before the money was in hand?  I remember discussions about needing to finish the small section they started and struggling to fund that without the feds money.

I agree that the strip looks tired and worn out.  But, I don't think it will take Branson long to recover when you look at other aspects. It's impossible to rent a boat, a boat slip, find a paddle, or a last minute room/condo.  Pt. Royale is full every night. The lake has exploded this summer.  Yes, it's flooded, but we parked a quarter mile away to get to our marina last week.  A guy pulling up behind us couldn't find a spot on the side of the road, so he parked in the road. Unfortunately, many new boaters and those renting a boat for the first time have kept the water patrol busier than they have been in five years.  That's straight from their mouth - not a guesstimate by me. Ex.: a couple jet skiers noticed an 8yr. old child bobbing in the water.  They picked the poor freaked kid up, and took off to find the boat that he fell out of.  He was delivered safely to a boat that didn't know he fell out.  Seriously!  How can that even happen??? We have friends that wanted to stay at Big Cedar for a week, and they can't get in until after Sept. They're on a waiting list.  A few others wanted to camp and said finding a camp space is no picnic either. Dogwood Canyon is packed out every day.

I purchased a seasons pass and would enjoy going for a few hours but have not wanted to activate the pass.  Not to be absolutly negative but I never enjoyed Spring Ride Days becasuse of the lack of anything other than rides.  When watching online videos or read trip reports it seems as if that is what I would find.  Shows are at bare minimum shops booths ext.  It takes a certain customer count to make it seem "happening". and they are no where near that.  If available would consider puchasing a $30 Thursday pass but it doesnt seem like they are doing those this year.  Rock and a hard place,  they need support but if I activate the pass I would not return until things start resembeling normal. It seems a better choice for me to let the pass expire and use it next year.   I wonder how many of " Me " there are out there....
Me too!  Same scenario; it would be nice to walk around some cooler afternoon, but not for the cost of my season pass.  I'm not sure I'll go back much this year, either.
