I think that are was poorly used.  It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Call me crazy but I don't remember the second floor to the mill/mine.  Is this an office area now?

K.D.  is still hanging in there.  for now....

If she needs letters of recommendation I am betting we could accommodate given an address.  I would be happy to brag on her a little, I have always been treated like a king when I stayed with her.

There is undeniably a lot of bias in the polls, especially to parks that are closer to the voters.

Didn't SDC win the award for best new ride in 13 for Outlaw Run?

Sounds like the US Department of Labor, wage and hour division should be notified.

Maybe these new owners are not as concerned with United States Law as we are........   I am laying down big dollars that is the case from what I have read.  Any takers?

Oh!  Thats a great idea...  An assortment of wild flowers maybe?
I couldn't care if it were weeds and Virginia creeper, seems like when wildfire was added it was decided stripped hillsides were acceptable.  Our latest example being TT valley that is an abomination to the natural beauty of the Ozarks.  I miss the green lushness of the old mill wheel pic, its a place I desire to explore, unlike the bald ground.   I hope they do something with that valley and lay off the weed eating.  I will tell you if we threw a few packs of Morning glorys off that bridge the valley would be in bloom for years to come.  Once morning glorys take hold you can't get them gone!

Water wheel area is one of my favorites, I could watch water flow, and work for hours.
After looking at these pictures I am tempted to go throw a bunch of seeds off that bridge.  The green looks beautiful.

Late Fall Festival - though not “officially” from the park.
Maybe time for a sell out.

Our friend who also busted his butt volunteering at Dogpatch?

He definitely loves the parks and their history.
Everyone should soft step that friend, in the conversation online, politics are everywhere.

Several years ago Knotts invested a good chunk of change to refresh the 2 original rides the log floom and the calico mine train.  (MIllions) Both were very SDC like and 50 years old.  Its interesting that they are aware of the value of the classics and were willing to invest but SDC apparently has decided to move forward and not look back.  When viewing other coaster sites its interesting that whenever they take pics of Knotts its 90% of the time "Ghost Town" the area that looks very very similar to SDC.  Even with milion dollar coasters they still gravitate twords the themed areas.  Specifically "Ghost Town" (Or old town, whatever).  I wonder why SDC thinks that the classics are no longer important.  ROI?  You may sell a t-shirt for outlaw run but its the tickets that keep the gears grinding and the classics are very important to the adults that are paying for the tickets.  If they removed the mine and FITH they have pulled the heart out of the park.  These rides were ridden by our grandparents and we are taking our children on them sharing the fun.  ROI is a short sides way of looking at the situation.  Why does Disney reinvest and "plus" because they are aware of the value.  I question the corp leadership at the park with some of the decisions made.

Don't pre-judge, I think they probably should have held back the boats but I had the same storm here just east of Branson.  It came up very fast and very hard, no warning.  I was scared to be in the garage with the door open and storms dont scare me.  The wind was mean.  Sad accident but the Bell was out as well, this was a freak hard fast event.

I really want to take my family to SDC to see all the lights but I am afraid of the crowds. I am thinking of visiting on Thursday, November 8th because I have read Thursdays are best but I wasn’t sure if that held true with Veteams’s day being that weekend. Anyone have advice?

Frankly speaking, you are going the only time I am willing to go at Christmas.  Before Thanksgiving, almost any days are acceptable however a Thursday should be especially light.  I think you have a great plan.  From Thanksgiving through to the end the season weekends can be really challenging.
