The price is going to be $42 for next year.

Even if that is the case it has been $40.00 for how may years?
We are getting a great deal, I am happy to kick in $2 more to help keep things humming.

Anyone get the count for last night or attend?  It sure was not a hospitable temperature.  I was watching the reporters from Times Square and they were suffering you could tell.  They did not complain but there was lots of makeup and very little facial movement when they spoke.  I bet SDC was a cold one!

When I first saw the news on FB (the day it broke), I was disheartened. I've followed the progress of restoring the property, and was pleased.

But when it comes to any kind of identity movement, the word "heritage" typically imagines a heritage that never was, and projects a future that will never be.

I haven't looked at the group's FB page, so I don't know anything about alt-right connections. With the proximity to Harrison, it's an easy connection to make, though.

 :'(

I'm a native Arkie who rejects racism, so this doesn't make me happy.

I am not far from Harrison and have many attachments there.  Harrison is not the hotbed of racism they have been saddled with.  This guy is not alt right he is a bad snake oil salesman.  If you look at youtube under his name you will find a show or 2 he produced, musical reviews, I was not impressed at all but nothing about them showed anything that I would refer to as Arian/ nazi/KKK/etc.  Just somebody I would not give a dime too and ever expect it back.  Maybe I am wrong, hopefully so, but he does look like he had some attachment to the old Heritage USA and with the trash up in Blue Eye........ The fact that we could have a PTL outpost in Jasper scares me.  Jim Baker needs to go away for good.

I haven't kept up. What are the official numbers on that (or at least educated estimates)?

I dont believe that info is public at all but we have conversed about trying to give away BAFS and it is difficult on a busy day to find someone that is paying cash for admission.  I would say the majority of guests to the park are SP holders or are guests of one.  Anyone have the percentages?

Itís time for another flex building and anothe broadway show.  I suggest the building be past Firemanís Landing in that parking lot and when they donít need it, it could be backstage.

Agreed, this would greatly assist and give an opportunity to include "milling" space.  I have suggested a European style Christmas village.  Good as another in park destination and a chance for SDC to monetize the area.  Plenty of portable craft buildings to use and plenty of space in the area.  Maybe make the entrance near Firemans landing as well to not add to the congestion around "Bedford Falls."

So how much would it cost at Christmas to rent the Grand Palace parking lot and run a few busses between?  Its a good distance but I am trying to think of a closer spot to park lots of people.  It is out of hand on busy days and I am not the only one on this board that has done a U'ey on 76 because of the crowds and difficulty I knew I would find on the end of the road.  Great for SDC to be packed but not so good for customers.  They are going to have to do something to break people up when they get in the park.  Spread them out.  Christmas in MidTown assisted to clear the square, I remember not being able to walk through when the tree was "playing" this year not such a problem.  If they could get them to keep spreading out.
Parking is a problem but when you pack the park like sardines the experience suffers.

  22,500....  :o :o
I try to avoid December because I can only visit Saturday nights, That number overwhelms me.
Disney World density in small walkways.  I bet the Mid Town section was a zoo  :o :o :o

The Christmas Markets of Europe are in serious danger, some being closed.

If you have experienced this in person you know what a tradition and shame this is.  This might be a good time for SDC to take out the Crafts booths and dress them up for a section of the park dedicated to a European Christmas Village.  Just a step or 2 behind World Fest....( Meets Christmas)  Frankly if they opened the gates of the back of the GE and opened up a little of the Employee parking lot with partitions.  This could be a great draw with a definite way to monetize the addition. (More income is hardly passable to the PTB)   Something they missed on with Christmas in Midtown, money put out without T-Shirts or Photo ops or vendors to help pay for it.
Folks, what do you think?  Could or should they pull off a German-style Christmas Market?  Would this give you another reason to go?  They could have Lights / music and sell special gifts/foods all in one location.

I noted a similar price at SDC.  I wonder how many squares you get?
