You know where the water wheel is at the AP.  That's the same building, I think they used to have water sluces for that water wheel but I dont think any more.

Outside of the REJOICE sign missing, there was absolutely nothing different looking about the Lost River or Lake Silver area today.  I was out for a while and shot some video footage, but at least at this point it looks like it does every year at this time.

Rib house was also open for business and looking completely normal for this time of year.

I'd say if it's happening, then they aren't starting for a while yet, and may wait until after the Christmas season.

Maybe you have seen lake silver drained to its traditional level or you were there earlier than me.  They had a large aux pump out in the lake to draw it to inches.  It’s on its way.  Looked like they are going to start chewing at the back end and leave the rib house till after the season.  https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155498898586652&set=a.10150599990141652&type=3.   They have also reduced the price or all lucky branded merch 50%. The dog didn’t cut the mustard.

UT that would not eliminate "sharing" the cup between 2 or 3 people, which would be cheating or actually stealing...

This was just a copy of what WDW was doing in water parks 10 years ago.  Under the fountains were the readers, I thought it was very smart.  Seems like the 300% jump in drink cup is pretty steep, SDC with the new pricing survey seems like they are trying to step into WDW territory and that would be jumping over several middle rungs straight to the top tear pricing.   But top pricing for middle of the road attractions. Not smearing SDC but it aint Disney and they have many many millions to go before they have customers walking away ready to repeat those memories at those prices. This is middle America, reach too far out and they will have a rude awakening.  Remember Celebration City.

As an F & B and Pro,p guy I say SDC gives any old mug when its turned in face value or $12 towards the price of the $50.00 mug that will hold 20 oz and will have a barcode on the bottom that only allows you to fill it so many times per hour.  Its a good system but cups all over.

The last walk through this summer I noted riverfront areas, and these additions were created 79-87.  Property near the lake was not well used.  I do vote they keep a lake. I can see retooling this I just hope they do it right.

How likely would you be to purchase the following type of ticket to Silver Dollar City in the next 12 months?

Admission Type: 2 Days at Silver Dollar City
Days of the Week: Unrestricted Days
Add-On: A ticket to White Water where you can come and go anytime for those same 2 Days PLUS 1 Showboat cruise during your trip
Adult Price: $58.99
Month of Visit: November - December
( White Water During Old Time Christmas?)  why waste my time with those questions?

THey are trying to become a WDW with the pricing.  This is not going to work in SDC.
SDC is getting a little big for its britches, I suspect they try this they are going to take a hurting $$

All I want is an SDC hoodie or sweater with the classic axe and log logo. However, all I can find anywhere in the park is clothes with roller coasters, trees, or mountains on them. Honestly, a lot of SDC's merchandise when it comes to clothing is targeted at a younger audience which is just really disappointing. A lot of it is not appealing to me at all. I would be willing to pay higher price for a higher quality clothing selection.

Amen to the merch getting worse.  When I was in Dollywood I noted the merch there was unappealing to me, same company I suspect from all I see same corp direction.  I see SDC is going the same direction.  I was looking at shirts last time I was there.  All pictures of rides.  SDC is changing,  They are gearing to the younger folks and thats ok but I dont believe its the teens that turn the turnstiles April - June Then September - Christmas,  Lots of non-weekend days in that schedule.  Don't forget the adults or they won't be willing to bring the kids as often.

IF SDC were to invest in a Mack or B&M Hyper/Giga terrain coaster on their next big project, this coaster is a good example on how they could thoughtfully lay it out using the trees and terrain they have past WF/PK along the railway and/or towards the parking lot.

I have always wondered why SDC doesn't do a coaster like this in the woods.  If it carefully placed they could them it to a story such as some "creature" it could be a lot of fun to "run" from bigfoot with audible noises from behind.

Does SDC do the Country Mart $35 thing during December? I can't recall. You might try and find a deal through one of the hotels. Sometimes they offer package deals.
Are these Thursday tickets or are they open day use?

I for one vote that we build a cross along 65 before somebody opens a mosque for those buying up hotels in Branson.  Nothing wrong with the cross, it stands for values to me, nobody's perfect nor will they be.  But this is a reminder.  I like passing the one in Effingham IL and I will soon have this one as a mile marker.  I am good with it, beats the gold-domed alternative.

I think it would be a step back - if anything Id keep Wonderful Life.  Put the Around the World Show in Riverfront and then put a new Nativity Show is Dockside with animals (both WOF and SF have animals for their nativity shows)
I agree SDC might consider the crowds at Christmas are not shrinking they are growing and Saturdays and other busy days are almost unbearable.  The closed water rides causes this crowd issue to be more obvious.  SDC needs to accommodate more people inside and maybe they would increase what would appeal to the older folks that may travel with family.  It would seem to me the shows are the ticket.  IAWL was or is a very well done show,  Personally, I think Miracle on 34th street taking place in 1930s new york is the furthest thing from SDC I can imagine.
But then again I think the winds are changing as it is.
