As I said before, we have been in as teachers since Aug 1, and students reported yesterday. 2 days down...167 more to go!

No really I am hoping this is a great year. This is year 8 in this school, year 9 overall, and I have yet another position within my school. I am still teaching my Social Studies, however I am now doing some co-teaching for a few other subject areas. It might be a challenge at first to find my role in this mix, but it should be fun having new perspectives on the curriculum.

I know several teachers are members here, and I'd just like to wish you all another good year, and thank  you for all you do for the kids!

I am a teacher, but I teach at the college level, mostly non-traditional students, here in Rolla, MO.  Our August Term begins on Monday.

My older son went began 8th grade today (a BIG adventure:  new school, new format, ride the bus, first year in public school); my younger son will start 5th grade next Wednesday.

Good luck to all you SDCFans teachers this year! I move into college tomorrow with classes starting on the 22nd. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by, I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.

palallin- Two of my best friends are going to Rolla this year. It's a small world!

Thank you Rube! Sorry for the late reply, but I've been pretty busy trying to get into a routine and everything. And I am going to go into physical therapy, and hopefully work for a sports team someday.

My University had a very large PT/and OT Dr. program and my wife's University had  large OT/PT programs-she opted for exercise science but still had may classes with the other health majors. Good Luck to you. as a former college coach and current high school coach, we need your profession!

Thank you Rube! I just want to be involved with sports, so PT is a great route for me. So far so good on the college front  :D

2.5 weeks until qtr 1 is over and we are 1/4 through the year!!!! Then we will start our 1.5 week fall break!
(This is one of the reasons we had to be back in school Aug. 1= we get part of our summer break in October, and the other week of summer in our 2 wk spring break-even though this is our snow day bank)

Our quarter ends around the 14th, too,  You would think I would know this info off the top of my head.

This year is flying by.  I started play rehearsals this week!
