To be fair Hershend seems to like using the term "Family Thrill Attraction" for most of their big rides. Dollywood's Wild Eagle, Mystery Mine, and even Lightning Rod had this terminology attached to them to some degree in marketing materials.

And as mentioned project 2027 will not be a BBM coaster by default since it's gonna be the first of it's kind here. Only way I see a BBM type coaster coming to the park is in the form of a PowderKeg replacement.

Regarding my last post I've been doing a lot of research over the past few days and it's disheartening to see B&M has slipped in quality. I didnt realize that after Orion their subsequent coaster installations have been lackluster or contain quality issues. With that being said, with the footers currently present and large amount of land cleared I think our coaster will be combining elements of Hyperia and Voltron both built by Mack in its layout, (neither have counterparts in the states as of yet) if its supposed to be some kind of "Mine Train" it will probably be a whole new design type or they may use their new Stryker Coaster cars in a larger train format. Personally, I'm hoping for the latter because the park really needs another reliable, high capacity ride to debut in conjunction with the resort.

This 2nd video to me feels like a marketing pitch of the ride to SDC

Quote from: Swoosh on October 22, 2025, 04:27:52 PMI have zero proof to back this up but honestly putting together the pieces I don't see this can anything other than a launched (because that's all they've built lately) Mack (because they seem to have fallen in love with that company) mine train (just going off the teaser image shared at FanFest and the loud rumor that TNT is being removed).

I'm open to debate on why my guess is incorrect but honestly I don't see how it will be anything else.

That certainly seems likely, but what of that would be first of it's kind in the US?

I guess I didn't realize there was a launched Mack Minetrain let alone one in the States.

I stand corrected, I thought there were some launched minetrains in the US, but I was incorrect. As I dove into this the only mine train I am finding that has a launch is Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Train at Hong Kong Disneyland. Are there others I am not seeing or is that really the only one?

The point being, there are no multi launch minetrains.  There's your world first

are we sure that this will replace thunderation? i feel like we can have both a launched mine train and a normal one (and i suppose a launched mine train would be a little more intense)
also, what has happened with chainlifts at sdc? we havent had a traditionally lifted coaster since outlaw run. was there some sort of incident, or do they just prefer launches now

That would REALLY be shitty if that's where they are going with this marketing.

I'm quite confident that TNT is going to be removed.

Launches take up less space and less materials and have a bigger ROI

But aren't most "first in the nations"? They're usually made up stats for marketing
