Quote from: Swoosh on October 22, 2025, 04:27:52 PMI have zero proof to back this up but honestly putting together the pieces I don't see this can anything other than a launched (because that's all they've built lately) Mack (because they seem to have fallen in love with that company) mine train (just going off the teaser image shared at FanFest and the loud rumor that TNT is being removed).

I'm open to debate on why my guess is incorrect but honestly I don't see how it will be anything else.

That certainly seems likely, but what of that would be first of it's kind in the US?

I guess I didn't realize there was a launched Mack Minetrain let alone one in the States.

I stand corrected, I thought there were some launched minetrains in the US, but I was incorrect. As I dove into this the only mine train I am finding that has a launch is Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Train at Hong Kong Disneyland. Are there others I am not seeing or is that really the only one?

The point being, there are no multi launch minetrains.  There's your world first

are we sure that this will replace thunderation? i feel like we can have both a launched mine train and a normal one (and i suppose a launched mine train would be a little more intense)
also, what has happened with chainlifts at sdc? we havent had a traditionally lifted coaster since outlaw run. was there some sort of incident, or do they just prefer launches now

That would REALLY be shitty if that's where they are going with this marketing.

I'm quite confident that TNT is going to be removed.

Launches take up less space and less materials and have a bigger ROI

But aren't most "first in the nations"? They're usually made up stats for marketing

Yes true. But I would think SDC is above that and build something with a "hard" first if you know what I mean.

Reminder that the new FiTH has the title for "largest indoor roller coaster in the Heartland"  ;D

There are two large 20ft long forms being constructed further west of the Wildfire lift hill towards the valley. There looks to be at least two turnarounds constructed based on the footer layout. They are large but spaced very close together. There's about 25 footers total but are mostly only visible from the existing coasters. Also the initial set posted a month ago now has forms set up for cylindrical concrete footer bases which support this being a likely Mack project. There is also a pair of large footers placed right next to the Wildfire maintenance bay. This can be seen on the ground via the standing reebar clusters.

I also find it interesting they continue to do work where the old flume channels were for American Plunge. One part they just seemed to have stopped with removal but a lot of the surrounding area is dug out further. Looks to be about 4 feet deep. We will see what they do here.

On a non construction related note I noticed the back three rows of WF got a pretty bad shuffle now. Hopefully that gets addressed.

Gotta say, the walls being formed around the footers inbetween WF and PK are interesting. Looks like water channels, or maybe a structure like the caves that have been mentioned? (I'm not sure where this is in regards to the station so it may just be that)

Sounds more and more like a ride package everyday.

I really want this to be like Big Grizzly, which is basically a newer version of Expedition Everest. Those coasters look so incredible and unique! They look like something SDC would do.

I wouldn't mind that. A launch out of the station down the hill doing some twists and turns. Then a pause for a little show then something blows up and it launches back up the hill through the mine tunnels. But I want it to go 80mph. 70 would be okay too lol.

I know it wont happen but something similar to FireChaser like DollyWood has would be awesome. Cant tell you how many times I rode FireChaser.
