Thought I'd change the old profile shot since the Cubs are no longer a factor, and haven't been for some time. This is an old Cardinals logo/illustration from the 1940's or so.

Yup!  I hope we get it done tomorrow in game 6.  Got a good chance with Jackson going against Marcum.  Marcum was the starter for Milwaukee in game 2 when we whopped 'em 12-3.

In the other league, Texas beat Detroit 15-5 tonight to advance to the WS.  I picked them to win it all before the post-season began.  If we win a spot in the series, we'll definitely have our hands full with them.

Go Cardinals!!!

I can't find one off hand, but as a St. Louis artist, my Dad helped design some of the pocket schedules for the Cards from the mid-late 70's.
I love the new (old) icon Zephon I have it as well in a bit of different format.

I was hoping for a rematch with Detroit, since I like how the last one turned out in 2006!

The way that the Rangers beat Detroit looked much like our game 2 against the Brewers. I think Detroit would have been an easier opponent.

That's really cool, rube!  I haven't seen that one.  Really neat that your Dad did some stuff for the Cards.

Hey boys and girls....we're going to the

World Series!

Texas will be tough; they've got a lot of powerful hitters.  They really put a hurt on Tampa Bay, but Detroit actually played them pretty close, taking them to extra innings twice.  The pundits are giving it to Texas in six, and that's how it always is...nobody every gives the Cardinals any credit until they win the series.  Actually, we stack up pretty good against them, and if our starting pitching shows up, I give us a bit of an edge.  Hoping for a big win!

Go Cardinals!!!

I was born and raised in north St. Louis County until I was ten. I remember going to games in old Bush Stadium. (Cardinal football games, too...the arena for Blues games! Yeah, I'm showing my age.) SOOOOOOOOOOO................WAY TO GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!

The checkerdome (Arena) was the place to be! I civered every inch of that place as a kid, from center ice/ field, to the highest of the press boxes, to the offices housed in the front pillar sections (to the left and right of the entrance). We would walk to Imo's on Oakland after watching hockey back when players didn't wear helmets (those were men!). I have a brick to the building, as well as a few of these:Commemorative boxes with both a piece of the stone from Busch Stadium (on Market) and a piece of the wood from the Arena.

CARDINALS TAKE GAME 1!!!

Carp had a good outing for the win, we got some timely hitting, and as usual, great relief pitching.  Garcia pitches in game 2; hopefully we'll see the lights out pitcher that he's capable of being.

Go Cardinals!!!
