Living in Branson, I never got stuck in 76 traffic.  Same as living in Orlando now...you just know when to do stuff and how to be adventurous with back roads.  Of course, they now publicize all of the Branson roads that locals use which spoils it for those that really just want to go to the grocery store or see a movie, but I agree that traffic is a lot better than it was back when I was a kid.
