Announcement will take place Aug 14 at 9:30am.  It will also be streamed live on the park's social media platforms

Anyone figured it out yet? It's going to be a great addition to the park.
Where did you receive the invite? If you are going do you have to accept something?

Email.  Yes you had to RSVP.
IF it's like FITH's announcement, the top level of season passes also got invited, but didn't get the behind the scenes tour

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but the presumptive load station now has walls/siding going up on the PK side.  Sorry - no pictures.

This is just me daydreaming and sharing a cool idea i had. So don't take this as anything other than that. But it would be SO COOL to have a stryker that starts somewhat similarly to voltron but a but different. It starts by pulling out of the station with some gradual curves and slopes towards a mine entrance with some kind of warning sign. (Think gentile "pre lift" section with some nice flowy curves). After the train pulls in it comes to a stop. You see some warning signs of blasting and you hear some cracking in the cavern and some rumbling before the train suddenly drops down into a lower shaft. (Drop track instead of the "bounce track" on voltron). Once the train settles on the bottom in the darkness you hear a hissing sound along with the faint light of fuses slowly burning along the walls towards the back of the train. Before suddenly a large explosion goes off behind you, launching the train quickly forward, up and out of the mineshaft along with some lighting and smoke effects! (This sequence would Happen pretty fast) but this would be such a cool way to kick off an amazing coaster and I just had to share the idea. Again, I don't think this will happen but I love sharing my wild ideas lol. If I had the skills in FVD++ and could put the terrain in correctly I'd love to make my "pipe dream" layout with all the cool ideas but for now I'll just share them here 😅. Anything yall have been dreaming about when thinking of what you'd do with this coaster?

A drop track into a themed mine would absolutely be amazing. I'm going to be disappointed if this doesn't happen now.

I'm media so I have no way of knowing what they're doing for general public Passholders this year.  I know they're doing all of the employees right before us and then we get to go in after for the reveal.

For the Outlaw Run & Time Traveler reveals it was only open to media and other invited VIPs.  FITH allowed (for the first time) Passholders who had RSVPd for the limited seats.  I just honestly don't know how it will be this time

The park has an email distribution list of content creators that would have received the invite. This also probably includes a very small group of ultra-dedicated season pass holders. Otherwise, the invite goes out to legitimate media outlets (news stations, radio stations, etc.).

The August 14 announcement is really just to get the word out there and create buzz. It's easier to run a media event without hundreds of pass holders clamoring for a spot. That's why they created Fan Fest, an entertainment-focused event designed to engage the average parkgoer.

Media events aren't always as exciting as one might think. Outside of the actual announcement, it's a lot of waiting your turn to do interviews, downloading media assets to promote the ride on your own channels, and staying out of the way of the VIPs (usually from local government).

Word for word from the latest marketing email to go out:

QuoteWe'd be honored for you to join us on Friday, August 14, as we unveil the most ambitious project ever imagined for our City: a record-setting new adventure unlike anything ever built. Witness the announcement, hear the story, and step inside the job site where a remarkable new chapter is taking shape.

"Record-setting new adventure" sounds like a rival to Werewolf Gorge.  :)

That sounds like a rival to literally any ride that is out there... That's a very generic marketing sentence.
