Shepherd of the Hills review

Saw the show last night (Friday). Unbelievably great! Even my teenagers and 5 year old loved it. Only disappointment was the theater was probably only 1/3 full on a Friday night. Spent a little time chatting with the cast after the show, got some autographs and visited with Terry Sanders for the 3rd time this week! (that guy is everywhere)LoL! He did a great job as Doc Coughlin btw.

I'm not a local, but we got a family pass for $99 which I didn't think was too bad for 6 of us.

thats a great deall for you! would cost me and the wife almost 80 bucks!.

I would love to go to the dinner show and then the late show . BUT that is about 80.00 each for the 2 of us for 1 nite. sounds a little high. BUT i undertsand it is a great show.

Yeah I know. Seems like last time we went there (about 8 or 9 years ago) dinner was included. I know we ate there, don't remember it being a separate show. We considered the Dinner show and late show, but would have been $200 for us (2 $99 family passes), plus the in laws went with us, so it would have been 80 x2 for them also.

I have not seen the play since about 1982 or 83. Glad to hear it's still going well. I'd like to see the play because it would be nice to see Terry Sanders perform there.

Terry's wife DeDe was in the play as well. Looking at the program he also has one or two kids that perform on occasion. Here's a few pics of Terry and myself autographing my program:

I did not know that Terry's wife, and boys had parts in that play too. Although not surprising since he is quite the family man.

nice.. I have an interesting idea for a personal challenge.. Wouldn't be neat to get terry's signature and picture for every roll he plays in the branson area.

That would make quite a collection.

The same name, over and over again, but on different photos? Well, OK. Guess I cannot get too excited about that because I know him and worked with him...yup, even helped train him. For me, it would be like asking for my brother in law's autograph over and over on family photos. However, if you are a fan (and most all of us are!) GO FOR IT!

Really, Terry is a GREAT guy, very talented, and wanted to be a Branson performer since he was a kid. His wife is a real estate agent, I think also works daycare, and works nights at the play. Both his sons have worked at Shepherd of the Hills in the play. One son was a tour guide a few years ago at Marvel Cave.

Do they still have the blacksmith working before shows? Did they ever get approval to run the steam engine and sawmill again?

Not that I saw. They have a frog jumping contest for the kids, that was the preshow. What's up with the steam engine and sawmill? Who shut them down?

OSHA. Steam engines are highly regulated, and there was no way to have the required guards in place over the moving parts without ruining the theme.
