Sorry got pulled away to work for a bit! Let me check my photos....I cannot access Flickr here. It could be that we are looking at 2 different definitions of the same place!  Here is the photo directly to the left of the existing one. Notice the wagon wheel in the photos from the wagon.

We know TInman is the expert, so I may defer to him on this one for the ruling, Heck he has so many photos he might as well run the game! I will get back with the verdict this evening-and if I hurt anyones feelings, sorry, but its all in good fun.

Ozark Outlaw

I was just speculating that tinman's picture was from the American Plunge. I am still not 100% sure!  ;D

Candy shop? Taffy wrapping machine?

Junior

NO! I'd say one of the penny pressing machines. Probably located in Ozark Marketplace!

It is indeed a candy roller machine, but I think it must be in the candy shop, not the taffy store.  I think this machine is used for hard candies.  The candy material would be heated and poured into this press, where it would be pressed into a cylinder (or stick) with rounded ends.  They would be called humbugs.  These would likely have been enjoyed by the likes of Laura Ingalls after a trip "into town", but they were enjoyed more in the winter because the candy would come out of the press nice and warm.  It would be nice to see something like this in action at Christmas, as the candy shop switched over to making peppermint sticks and candy canes for their demonstration instead of the same old peanut brittle all year long.

So anyway, though I've missed this display, I would have to guess it is in the candy store.  Wherever it is, I will look for it the next time I visit.

I was going to venture a guess (that had nothing to do with candy) until History Buff explained perfectly how "humbugs" are little molded hard candies from the olden days. Makes so much sense that I know my guess would have been wrong.

OK, here's the run-down on the previous photo:  You are all right & a little wrong, haha.  Sorry, Rube, no where near the PK queue line, it's the abandoned one for Wild Fire!  ;D  After you walk under AP, through the "tunnel", you hang a right by the lockers.  It's the extended line for WF, seldom used.  It's also the remnants and unused props for Jim Owens'.

All that said, I've sat this one out, until I see one of Rube's photos I haven't taken myself!  ::)

AHHHH...I meant Wildfire!!!!......Not Powderkeg, and I didn't even question it! But nonetheless it IS Jim Owens , so the point stands!

As for the next one it is a Humbug Cutting Machine for candies (not taffy)
It is in Brown's Candy Shop have fun finding it, that is part of the fun!
I am awarding a point to Junior for the correct location, and a point to HB for his thorough research on Humbugs! (No this will not happen every time so don't try to write me any research papers on the objects...but since this one was fairly obscure to some, I went with it! and since he runs the game "officially" I have to pay homage to hiim! j/k) ;D

It is Jim Owens but it is still the lift hill for the American Plunge....
