Haven't heard anyone mention the "Here's a Barrel of laughs" guy. Is that still apart of the new version??

With the demolition of OG FITH coming soon, do we still anticipate this area to eventually become the new Train Depot?

In case you’re interested, they’ve trademarked Fire in the Hole

Interesting

If you never heard of the Baldknobbers before working there, and only spent 1.5 years working at FITH, maybe you're not the best spokesman for ending the ride.

That's was my thoughts too. Kind of a wtf cringe moment.  ??? :o
I was also thinking with the historical significance of this landmark attraction closing that we would have had Brad or Lisa giving statements.

I think the most cringeworthy moment was when the younger guy said "My grandparents rode this ride, my parents took me on this ride, and one day (long awkward pause) i'll bring my family here (another awkward pause) and...we'll find....something."

Yeah...that was not good.

I've hurt my eyes trying to figure out the blurred background! lol
There is definitely some blue on the left....which still leaves me scratching my head.

I'm hopeful it's the FITH announcement as that is the most anticipated.

My immediate thought was Red Gold Heritage Hall.

Any idea if the name FIRE IN THE HOLE will stay or if they plan to rename it entirely?

I, of course, would prefer the name to stay the same....but I am guessing they change it like with LROTO into MRF.

Well I am happy to see that there will be a splashdown...and...it seems to be in the same location as the one in the current FITH; this gives me some hope that maybe the ride layout will be similar.

Yes, I vividly remember walking behind the falls. We have several photos in our family albums from behind the falls, along with a video or 2 of us behind them. It was closed off sometime in the mid 90's I believe. I always assumed they closed it off due to the fake rock structure that would/could crumble on guests due to safety concerns. I also remember it being a wood-chip path all the way around.

For several Christmas seasons they had a large house-like structure in the center of the pond area. It was synchronized to lights and a narrator over speakers played "Twas the Night Before Christmas." This structure was later moved to part of the train ride as one of the scenes you passed, the lights staying stagnate of course, with no narration.

Like where is Rudolph going to go since temporary Ribhouse is in Carousel Barn

See being behind schedule has other ramifications besides just next year stuff

Why couldn't they put Santa where he normal is in the queue line of River Blast, then put Rudolph and Clarice in the formal White River Mercantile?

I do get a bit of a chuckle over them calling it a new "land".  One ride and one restaurant, without even really having a walkway isn't a new area for me. Unless they are changing the name of the whole Riverfront area.

The Riverfront is now Rivertown.  This includes the already mentioned additions, a newly reimagined (and not announced yet) shopping experience in the former White River Mercantile.  A revamped dining area across the Playhouse with additional smaller counter service options.  New walkways, New lighting, New thematic elements.  But most importantly, this new land has an entrance arch stating that it is Rivertown.

I figured they were indicating a name change for the entire area. Curious if Riverfront Playhouse has a name change too. (?)

So what are the boundaries of Rivertown? Does this incorporate what use to be known as "Tom Sawyers Landing" where Tom and Huck's River Blast now stands? Curious if Rivertown entrance arch will be when you go under the RR tracks or farther down by Dockside Theatre. With the Riverfront (now Rivertown) area always being a 'thru' area, does this mean there will be another arch placed by the Toy Store?

Also, originally, one plan was to demolish Dockside Theatre and replace it with the new Rivertown Smokehouse, along with re-working the pathways. Obviously these plans have changed...so i assume that Theatre will stay 'as-is' for the foreseeable future.

I agree that the comments are of a similar reaction to when they announced TT. I, personally, can handle any and all drops...so I am fine with it. That being said, I have several in my family that do not like drops...however...I DO think they will be able to handle this since in reality it will be more like a slide.

What the general public is seeing is concept art...I mean..do they really think they will just plunge straight down a waterfall???

Several things I have taken note of in the concept renderings is:
The inconsistencies in "Marvel" vs "Marble" Cave in the theming sign(s).
The front elevation of the new Rib House (now Rivertown Smokehouse).
The style of the tower that the slide goes down.
The rapids part of the ride looks like at some point it goes into a waterfall (which will probably shut off when the raft comes close), then small cave, then partially enclosed tunnel.
I guess "RiverFront" is now going to be called "Rivertown." Curious if RiverFront Playhouse will get a name change too.

Overall, I am very pleased with what is being currently presented to us! I hope the theming will play out and  wont be "lost"  :P to budget cuts.

Thank you sanddunerider for all the hard work you put into this, and for continuing to do all the hard work between each hotel transition. We will certainly give Ozark Valley Inn a try!

Branson Talk / Re: Classic Motor Inn - 2019 - K.D.

What I am wondering is why everyone is still going to the place?! Is it strictly the "deal" they are (or sometimes are) offering? It's certainly not the service...so why keep going back? KD isn't even there any more...so why give business to a place that obviously sucks and who's owners don't care??

My family gave Homestay Inn/Eagles Lodge a lot of business over the years for two reasons. 1. It was a great deal, and 2. Paige was a wonderful host who CARED about her facility AND her guest.

Anyway...just my 2 cents on Classic Motor Inn.
