Zombie Thread Alert!  :o

The real question is why you felt the need to revive it

Less than three months makes it a zombie thread?

The real question is why you felt the need to question why another member wants to comment on something.

-12 here, so no chance of snow ("It's a dry cold!")

Meanwhile my sister in western Arkansas reported mid 30s and rain... and she can keep it. I'd rather be below zero.

As we hadn't used our season passes at all, I stopped by guest relations to see if we could switch my wife's pass over to my son's gf and save us $60 to get in. The lady at guest relations looked up the account, saw it hadn't been used and got it taken care of very easily. Score!

Wow, that's a great report, especially about the ticket swap!

4. My phone said it was 36° out tonight before Time Traveler closed and 35° before Powder Keg And Wildfire closed. So, either my phone’s temperature was five degrees off what SDC thought the temperature was or they don’t actually close the rides at the posted temperature guidelines.

Your phone doesn't measure the temperature. It tells you what your weather app thinks the temperature probably is, based on your location.

I have never been in the toy museum, or that car museum.  Are they worth going to?

Which car musuem?  I have been told the new one (new from tornado) is around 25 to get in,.

Petit Jean is $10, but it's out of the way unless you're coming up from Arkansas.

The Boulder gag ran through the 1970's and maybe into the 1980's. Not sure when it was removed. It was accompanied with a strobe light effect which may be why it was removed due to some medical issues. There was also a explosion and a voice that said something like "Look out below, its a rockslide" .

Exactly. I thought it was the best scene on the ride. It was classic like the original route of FITH, where you were about to go across the burned-out bridge before swerving and plunging.

Looks like the area is in for a major snowstorm this weekend. If you plan on being in Branson, make sure you keep an eye on the weather. I know many people have already cancelled their plans. If it comes like they say it will,  the 8-12 inches of snow will cripple i44 and the Branson area from Friday evening and all day Saturday.

I do not miss living where snow cripples everything.

Raised in Arkansas, three years in Germany, 24 years in Texas, now I'm in New Hampshire. I'm happy that the low tonight is 8F, because it's much safer than hovering around the freezing mark.

I have to make a 200 mile round trip Wednesday morning to get sworn in as a state representative. I don't mind the weather, just the time spent doing it.

As seen on Facebook, shared from a friend in Oregon, originally by some stranger, probably none of whom have ever heard of SOTH.  ;D

She was a hoot in "Jack & Pete Tell it All". It was obvious how much they were deeply in love.

Im still shocked this took precedence over FITH, AP or most notably FM being demo'd and reworked as previously speculated. Maybe the PTB were afraid of backlash of such iconic classics being touched?  (Well maybe not AP)

FITH and FM are iconic classics; AP is just old.

Oh man!  That modern dolly and those plastic crates really bug me.

So does that electric Coke box in front, but it's no more incorrect than the soda fountain in the 1977 picture.

Congrats!!  And under those circumstances and stipulations, thank you for being willing to serve!  That's a sacrifice.

I wish more of our representative/ senate pay scales were closer to that than what they are.

Being semi-retired and in a job with flexible hours helps. I've already arranged with my boss and coworkers to have Tue/Wed/Thur off in order to attend committee meetings and session days.

The pay is set by the state constitution, so it's very unlikely to change. And we like it that way. We do get mileage, which is the only way I could afford to take the office, since the State House is a hundred miles from my house (two hours each way).

For the recount on Tuesday, I had to drive through Franconia Notch in a heavy snowstorm. My daughter lives at the first exit south of the notch, so if it's ever closed (not uncommon), I'll have a place to crash. And I have plenty of friends in the Concord/Manchester area where I could flop a couch if needed.
