Now it's my turn.  Who's Tim Tracker?

One of the more popular Disney youtube vloggers who also does a lot of the other Orlando area attractions.  Also one of the more positive, upbeat and family friendly ones.

Tim & Jenn from TheTimTracker on YouTube went to SDC last weekend. Their video of it should be up within the next couple days; I'm super looking forward to it!

What??  Well phooey.  I wish I had known that.  Would have certainly tried to be there to meet them.

The cars look excellent.  With this much detailing on them, it gives me confidence that there is going to be a lot of detail and theming added to the queue, station, and maybe the rest of the ride as well.

I also like that they have a hand grip.  As I get older I don't necessarily want to hold on, but it is nice to have a place to rest my hands during a ride.

As for being able to accommodate "larger" riders, as Swoosh said, Brad isn't a short, tiny guy.  :-)  I think this will be as accommodating as a coaster can be today.

Really looking forward to this next year!

Loved the video...

You mentioned it was hard getting pics inside the shows.  Last year we did the Show Lover's Passes for both Dickens and Wonder Life.   I got some decent pics with my phone.  Here are some from the 2 shows.

Nice photos!

I really didn't want to use the phone to take photos since there is no way to turn the screen off and it can disturb others.  So I shot with my DSLR and it's screen turned off.  it's more iffy that way, but the light doesn't stand out in the crowd either.  :-)

Thanks SirWillow for being considerate!  Even more annoying than seeing the phones light up for picture takers, are those trying to video with their phones.

Especially when they expressly tell you not to do that before the show starts!

Exactly, Not going to happen with the current leadership.

I don't know that it's limited even to the leadership.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Herschend's have it written into the ownership documents of the company.

(I really don't know, and realistically I doubt it.  But I'm sure it is part of the culture that they wish to see with their company.)

Got the video posted!  it's "unlisted" until tomorrow afternoon, but since there has been interest here, I figured I'd post a link here for everyone.  Several minutes of video footage and a few photos are at the end.  It's not the best video I've done by any means, but hope you enjoy it and a look at the rest of SDC around Christmas as well.

yes there is music.  I'll be posting some videos later today where you'll be able to hear the music in the background.  It is background music though, that constantly plays, not an overwhelming loud soundtrack. I thought it was perfect.

and no, no "snow"  which isn't a bad thing.  The fake snow is a soap like mixture and it would make for extremely slick walkways around there.  Not a good mix.

the other thing to consider though is what the weather is likely to be like that time of year.  If it's a warm day then it will be in the 20's at night.  There's a strong chance around here that it will be in the teens, or possibly even in the single digits.  That means no rides open and freezing guests.  Who wants to be in a theme park in those conditions?

Even when they are open until 10pm during those days, the park will usually empty out after the first parade- between 7:30 and 8, because it's usually just to plain cold to enjoy it.  Rarely it'll warm up a bit more and not be so bad.  But I spent many a night freezing my tail off on the back of the train with sparse crowds after 8:30-9, and can't imagine many sticking around after midnight, even if there were fireworks.

the pictures don't do it justice.  It was absolutely incredible.  Possibly the best lights display I've seen.

If anyone would like to get a look at the finished product, there's a brief video on the SDC Fans Facebook page I shot on Saturday.  I've also got a ton of photos on my photo site.  You can see them at:
https://sirwillow.smugmug.com/Amusement-Parks-Roller/Mid-USA-TX-MO-OK-etc/Silver-Dollar-City-Christmas-in-Mid-Town
(start about page 7)

I'll have a full video preview posted to my youtube channel Tuesday or Wednesday.  :-)

Ok, I'll ask again as I still can't find it on their web page at all...

Where are y'all seeing that they are open until 10pm on New Year's Eve?  Everything I'm seeing from the park- their web page, their app, etc., all says until 7pm on New Year's Eve.

Here is a Promo page for NYE and New Years Day at the city..   Open until 10pm.  I had misread hours earlier this fall..

https://www.silverdollarcity.com/theme-park/Events/New-Years-Celebration

10pm?  Their calendar says 11-7pm New Year's Eve and Noon to 8pm New Year's Day.  Where did you see 10pm?
