Water

Hello, I just joined and this is my first post.  I was wondering if the restaurants serve water free or do they charge.  Thanks in advance.

Yeah, they're usually pretty good if you ask for a cup of water.  I don't think I've ever been charged for one at SDC; just be sure to say "cup of water"--if you ask for "water" they'll charge you for bottled water.

They absolutely do not want you to collapse from dehydration.  Ask for a cup of ice water.

It's good too - true Ozarkian filtered water, as evidenced by the filtered water fountain near the exit of the Flooded Mine.

I was getting water one time at the "sock filter" across from the skillet sausage place and the lady asked if I wanted some ice with that.  Very nice.

Well "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition".  Thanks for your help.  I have season passes for my family and we are going on May 5 and 6.  We are excited.  I think I am more excited than my kids.  We are planing to go 5 times this year to get the 50th anniversary Christmas ornament.

NOOOOOOOOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION- FETCH THE COMFY CHAIR

Everytime I teach the inquisition I think of this sketch that I first heard on the Monty Python record in the early-mid 80s and I start laughing. Thanks for making me smile!

"Now--you will stay in the Comfy Chair until lunch time, with only a cup of coffee at eleven. [Aside] Is that really all it is?" :D

Yes, the free cups of ice water at SDC is a lot like The Spanish Inquisition! 8)
