Finally, a day off.  After working for three days in a row, I needed a break!  We were about the only district in the area who had not called off - until today.  It is six degrees in SW MO currently.

We have our 2nd Snow Day of the year today.
Works out great for me, because that means I don't have to do pepband or supervise the drumline and winterguard tonight at the doubler header that was scheduled for tonight.

Only sucky part is, we now have to go to the 24th in May

I'm not a teacher, but I'm snowed in today.  Couldn't get out out to get to work; we live in a valley.  It's nice to have a day off in the middle of the week. :)

I just got done clearing off 5-6" of snow off our cars.  There are few drifts around our place that are over a foot deep.  Crazy Missouri Weather.

IDK about you guys, but that "Global Warming" can start any day now.  lol

Post-Global Warming scenario-I could see it now, Old Time Christmas serving Dip n' Dots and ice cold lemonade because it is SOO hot! Lights everywhere, no snow, all water rides open for people to cool off.

Friday off, too, but due to the temperature, not the precipitation.  It's three degrees right now.

^Last day is now May 27, but I don't mind.  In fact, I'd rather work in the summer and vacation some place warm in the winter or just sit home.

Last Day of kids now is the 25th.  I think we teachers have to go to the 27th.

Well, I guess I'll go to school tomorrow... ;D

Not a bad Christmas break.  Our make-up days are sprinkled here and there.  Our first one will be Dr. Martin Luther King Day.  I haven't heard about the days at the end.  Still, it sounds like we'll have to make it through the great snow in February.

We had another "snow day" today.  This time for freezing rain.  That makes #4 for the school year and the most I've had since I came to the district.

We have to go to school on May 24th now.  It appears that for now on, all make-up days will be tacked on to the end of the school year.  Oh joy.  >:(

What school district do you teach at?  Today we were 57 degrees and a chance of rain tonight in southern Illinois.

Do you teach music / band?

Nice website!!  My daughter is in 5th grade and she plays the trumpet.  This is the first year that they offer band in our school district.

She seems to really enjoy it.  I was really sceptical because she did not even know how to read music but the music teacher told me not to worry that she would learn and she has to  my amazement.

I do hope your weather gets better soon so far we have had only one day off because of the sub zero wind and slick roads.

Wow, and I wore short sleeves to work today...

I can't believe you haven't had many snow days.  We have been out for whole school weeks every year for the last four years.  Twice, we lost power at home for about 10 days--not fun!!  We've already been out five days this year.
