After just getting married, Steam Freak is probably learning that no one can put their foot down like a lady can!

Looks like Steam Freak left us.  his posts now say that he is just a vistor.  I guess SDC has made someone else leave us.

He's just opting to avoid saying something he shouldn't on a public forum, now that he's a brand-new employee.

He's on Facebook, though, as is our favorite cave guide.

LOL... Yes, I'm on facebook and back to this site.. for over a month or two now.
SteamFreak i think is lurking reading comments..

I was ready to come back and thinking that I could make sure I didn't over speak..

anyway.. i went on the train ride 3 times recently once, not with SF though, but i did ride once around with him telling me all the things I've never noticed before.  The actors were as good as i remember them but then again i've only been coming to the park since 1988

Had a great time at SDC this past weekend! Rode the train twice. The second time Steam Freak was the conductor.  He did a nice job. I talked with him a little before the ride and he said he was really enjoying his job. He mentioned that he had visited with Tinman earlier that day. He said Tinman snapped a few photos. Maybe one will show up here. I thought the actors in the robbery did a nice job both times (one time with mom on the train and one time without). They seemed enthusiastic and interested.

Cool video, except for the phone call in the middle.

A certain freak of evaporated water appears in this one.  ;D

I was on the train a couple of weeks ago and got to see something I thought was ultra-cool. We had to make the stop at the old robbery location to build up steam and poof the fire went out.

2 things really neat happened. I was sitting up in the fron and got to see them re-light it.
Also the conductor spent some time talking about the trains and where they came from.

My favorite train ride ever.

^That is really cool.  There was one time I was riding the train and the fire went out.  Unfortunately I was at the back and didn't get to see them re-light it. :-[

It happens more than you'd think, not a big deal though, just a quick re-light and we're off.

Hey everyone. I don't know how many people knew Tom Roush that worked at the caity for many years, even robbed trains for a while. Hwe passed away last weekend due to complications of diabetes complications which caused him to retire.

He was a good friend and will be missed.

I have a question about the train robberies.  It seems like there have been times my kids actually gave some money to the robbers, and they kept it.  Is that allowed, and if so, is there some special fund the money goes into?
