Stay off the even seats, and you will fine on Outlaw Run  . I do prefer the Texas Giant trains, but that will never happen on Outlaw Run, not after the summer of 2013. Besides, as it is, many of us regulars hold Outlaw as the best, unhinged night ride in the park, if not the state.

the trains are fine. I would prefer a retrack over Ibox. If they Ibox, I would want them to make it taller and longer. RMC their RMC so to speak.

That is funny. I look at it like this. The park would ask itself the same question we asked ourselves playing Bullfrog's Themepark or RCT: "What do I need to build,to draw guest in to sell more merch and drinks, that I don't already have, and our regional neighbors don't have?" A wing coaster would seem to fit that bill.

To me it comes down to which flavor of wing coaster it is, because they have built a launched variant of the Big Dipper before. Seems like though to get good capacity out of a Big Dipper it would need to be blocked like a wild mouse, or FITH, or a Gerstlauer spinner. It would really need to be able to load and dispatch two trains at once. (This is where Buzzsaw Falls and the original FITH really dropped the ball, they could both load two trains at once but they had no downstream "ready" block for the second train after dispatch) I think a 4 row Stryker would move more people with fewer complications. I could be way wrong though. Fun to think about.

Supposedly, someone from Mack will be there tomorrow.  Dennis Gordt was there for the Time Traveler media reveal and then Christian von Elverfeldt (CEO) was there for the grand opening of the ride.

This may have absolutely nothing to do with the new ride, especially since a lot of speculation leads to it being manufactured by Mack, however, I saw this video about a new style of RMC family coaster (Wild Moose) and thought it was interesting. Again, I know nothing, but wanted to share since SDC & RMC have a strong relationship with OR & FiTH.

It actually looks like it's going to be going to Kentucky Kingdom in a Kentucky Derby themed indoor coaster. RMC posted this about a week ago.

Agreed. Asides from the pothole at the bottom of the drop (which has been noticeably smoother out) the ride isn't insanely rough, especially compared to thunderation. If they could just iBox the bottom of the track and not lose their wooden coaster status/records I'd be on board with that.

Anyways, with today being the big day, it's time for final predictions! I'm thinking a Mack Stryker since it fits with the mining theme and the suggested layout. That being said iirc this is a launch coaster? I haven't been on these boards almost all summer so I'm trying to catch up. (I have been checking the Midwest info guide photos though)

All I will say is that it's a great fit. Looking forward to seeing all the specs and smaller details when it's released

I really wish this was something thrilling but it's not. Project 2027 is a DIRECT TNT replacement. This has been planned for the past 3+ years. Anyone who expects this to be on the same level of Time Traveler thrill wise is going to be disappointed. Obviously this will be marketed the entire family but this is not going to be a thrill machine or anything remotely close. It will be Thunderation's Mystic river falls with a first of its kind and some "family friendly" records broken. Herschened as a whole is pivoting entirely from Thrill to family and this will follow

The only "TNT Replacement" this ride will be is that they're both rollercoasters.  I guess you could make the argument it's replacing 1 for 1 but the REAL "TNT Replacement" is coming on 2029.  This ride was planned well before TNT decided to kick the bucket faster than expected.  TNT was expected to coexist with this new ride next season. 

Swoosh, thanks for being the voice for reason amongst all these new users adamantly trying to convince us of something other than what's obvious.  I appreciate what you contribute to this forum.

I guess in August when SDC makes the announcement you guys will finally see this is not a thrill machine and Insted a Thunderation replacement. But in the meantime believe what you want lol

It looks like a really good mine train, but I wish that it was called thunderation. Miner mountain express just  doesn't roll off the tounge

I was dead wrong, but I dont mind though. Thunderation was going to leave a big hole. Thunderation being gone would have left FITH and Powder Keg carrying the flag for the 42 inchers" Ive seen teenagers get off Powder Keg white as sheep.

So it was a youngstar after all. The track being themed is awesome - really dresses it up and makes it fit so much better.

It does sound like a TNT replacement after all. I am sure it will be by far the most popular ride in the park for years to come. SDC is going to be asking themselves why they didn't do this twenty years ago. The park has needed an airtime machine for ages. It looks just really fun all around and will be widely appealing. The level of theming is also the best they've ever done for a coaster!

The only thing I don't like is the name.
