So this YouTuber BA adventures made a new video about project 2027 and in the comment section he made some comments that baffled me like someone said if this was a family coaster then why are the footers bigger than time traveler and he said it's because he thinks there's gonna be a spike or drop track and a helix like TNT which doesn't really explain why the footers are big they're meant for high forces and another thing is when someone else questioned his belief of this being a family coaster saying it's basically funny and BA sarcastically went "Glad I could make you laugh, why else would the mini miners be told to wear closed toed shoes on the 14th for their media event🤔 gosh that'll be really funny then wouldn't it"
I have no idea how closed toed shoes correlate with how intense a ride is

With that said, even some family coasters need big footers. A big part of footer size is determined by land.

The land where Mine Ride 2027 sits is different than Time Traveler's plot. When surveying, they may have found that the distance to bedrock is far greater. They also need to build the piers/footers below the frost line so Missouri's temperature swings don't shift the base of the ride. There are a lot of factors that play into footer size that don't necessarily have anything to do with the size or forces of the coaster itself.

I'm not an engineer, so I can't say for sure, but didn't Silver Dollar City reinforce part of Wildfire's plot of land with a retaining wall a few years ago? The land in that area may be prone to washing out, so they're taking proper precautions to ensure the new ride is stable for years to come.

Yeah this dude is not a good source.  He literally has no idea what this project is.  He has totally ignored the fact that this will be a 1st in the United States.  He is adamant that this will be a Mack Mine Train, spoiler alert, that's not a 1st in the states.

Ok, but the park has stated 1st in the States.  A Mack mine train does not fit that criteria

This is also anticipated to be their most ambitious project and a mine train isn't really that ambitious

Also, that would be a very surprising decision with the resort opening the same year, a family mine train has very little appeal to try to bring in people

Lets make peace and call it a Hyper Mine Train... lol now everyone's satisfied and it fits their standout "1st of its kind" criteria.

All it needs is a 200ft drop to be classified as such. (not overall height) This can easily be achieved with the hillside as we already see an example of this as Wildfire is deceptively only 120 feet tall but its drop into the valley gives it a drop of 155 feet overall. Hyperia is an example of whats possible with a compact Mack Hyper. (not saying it is one in the traditional sense anyways)
Also see the recently opened Tormenta at SFOT. Its a B&M Dive Coaster but it gets the "Giga" classification for its unique 300 foot drop.
