Man I haven't seen any information period, much less misinformation lol.

They are going to put in a coaster like Dollywood's Big Bear Mountain except maybe not as long, but a smooth family coaster.

Thunderation's days are numbered, unfortunately, but it is hard for them to maintain.
Small wonder our lives have so little of God in them, when we come in touch with so little that God has made.

Heard if from someone in the know.

If it's for real getting scrapped now it's more than likely related to the worker that got killed as it could be part of the legal settlement to go ahead and retire the ride. When I was at Coaster Christmas previously the question was brought up by someone and it was said it wasn't going anywhere anytime soon despite parts of the ride being raffled off. Those plans might have changed since then. :-\

The fact that they straight up scrapped a train from TNT does imply that they aren't intending on keeping it much longer. Could go a few seasons more before they are ready to let it go though. It seems like they have a backlog of projects. Flooded Mine nearly bit the dust years ago, but other things took higher priority and it ended up getting more popular with guests again, so it has stuck around.

I have a feeling in the next 10 years or so TNT, FM, AP, Riverblast, and maybe even PK will get replaced.

I would doubt TNT goes anywhere soon. One train suits it just fine and the ride is the smoothest it's been since it was new. One of the best mine trains in the world.

I hope you are wrong.  Not much of that would make any sense.

Does anyone have any updates or photos from the new construction?

We were there today and it didn't look like anything else had been done other than some additional rock work on the backside of the waterfall – which is turned off now.

^ Maybe water elements will be included in the new ride: Buzzsaw Falls 2.0 ?  ;)

looks like Dollywood might be putting in a Mack water ride would love to see something similar. Only downside is water rides are not open all season

Not if you put it inside.

Unlikely in the current spot with construction. Maybe later on where old FITH or FM sits tho...
