Herschend Tried to Buy Silverwood?

It sounds like Herschend approached Silverwood about a sale. While they are saying that they do not want to sell, it sounds like they are open to some sort of partnership.

Yeah, HFEC is still on the hunt for more acquisitions. I wish they would go all in and develop a new park in Houston, but I know that is incredibly risky and they already got burned once on a failed park. Still, you can't really go wrong in Houston with millions of customers and no real park.

I wonder what the coaster world would have been like if HFEC had accepted the deal from SF years ago to acquire six parks at once, including magic mountain?
