We'll have our update sometime next week as we are going down this Saturday to cover the GMA taping as well as Coaster Christmas

Looks about the same as it did when I was there.

The season isn't over yet though, so I imagine they'll hold off on bringing in the asphalt trucks until then.

Unfortunately due to the extremely wet February and all the rain we are getting now the new projected Parking Lot finish date is July 3rd.

That's too bad, I'm planning to hit the place up in early June, so I guess I'll just have to park way off in the gravel again... How are they going to work around all the daily guests?

That is what everyone is saying. With a lot of love and patients. They can always use the employee lots to park guests in.

I hate having to park in Notch or way down on Indian Point, but I guess we'll have to do what we'll have to do.

I'm staying at Deer Run in a couple of weeks, so I will either take their shuttle or just walk over. Parking is going to suck until they get this much needed improvement completed.

Any hints on the easiest way to get around?

Get to SDC early. Have breakfast; take a cave tour and walk around town square???

That is the only way to do it right now.  A friend of mine had to park at Noch and wait an hour for a tram to bring them to the park.   The new road is nowhere close to done and that parking lot is even further.  I got there early both days and it was fine.  They have extended the hours till the end of the month from 9am to 7pm now.

^An hour? Damn, I've parked in Notch plenty of times, but there's always been a steady stream of buses. Then again, SDC was totally not expecting these crowds, so I guess you can't really blame them. The increased hours are a welcome make-up.

Well, Saturday was not a problem in the parking lot.  We parked in C Lot and had a bus to ourselves with two other buses waiting for the next people to arrive.  A private bus for every family!  What service!  The new plans seem to have advanced little since December, though.  I hope they're able to hit their completion target.
