So you decide to start a band.....

ok, guys. I'm starting a new band and i need name ideas. Old country, southern rock, some older red dirt, a few originals, even a few old country gospel tunes but very little of the stuff that passes as country music today. Any help would be appreciated.

We are gonna start out with 4 guys. A lead guitar, bass, drums, and me. I am going to be the lead singer but also play fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, keys, harmonica, kazoo or whatever else they ask me to.

Nah, ah, Rocket 88?  Unequal Justice? Heartland Pickers? Outlaw Run? Mmmm, no...ah The Highway 76 Wranglers? How about Elvis has left the building? How about The Buffet Eaters? How about Junior Dugan and the Submarine Riders? Or how about Jim Owens' Float Trippers? How about the Electric Sunshine and Smile on Your Face Band?  Ah, maybe Fire in the Hole? Or, ah, Be Home By Mornin'? or the You Never Have Heard The Song Like This Before Band, or maybe Ida Mae?  What about Playin' for Cash?   Midnight Plowboys? Full Moon Madness?  Moonlight Madness?   Keep Your Eyes on the Road, Son? How about Have You Ever Been to Egypt?  What about Billy Bob and the Cornflake Eaters?    Bring out your dead?   The Mississippi Squirrel Revival? The Wichita Linemen? Steamboat Whistle Blues? Aeroplane? The Butterfield Stagecoach Boys? Thunderation?  Wildfire? Electro Spin?   I GOT IT!!!!!! "THE BEATLES!" Yeah, THAT'S IT!!!! ;D

I was at Camp Meeting this past week. They had Bro. Stan Cook singing. He said, "You can't get to Heaven without a steel guitar in the band!!" ;)

I will present the name "Off yer Rockers" to my bandmates and see what they say. Stands a good chance that they are going to tell me that I must be off mine.   ::)
