This day always represented to me a sad time of the year when I worked at SDC. The LAST DAY OF THE REGULAR SEASON. (Before the Old Time Christmas thing was started.) It was a day of saying goodbye to friends and coworkers I would not see again until March or April when the new season would begin. What are your feelings on how 2012 has gone this year? The good, the bad, the...well, you know. We saw a new coaster slowly being built and have the anticipation of getting to ride for the first time next spring. The Woodcarvers and Christmas Shop changed locations, and much more went on this season. Your thoughts, your feelings...
"Howdy there folks! My name is Junior Dugan, and I'll be drivin' your diving bell!"

yes another season is almost over..

thoughts?  i felt like the PTB had a pretty good year as far as festivals go.. of course i am never impressed with Kidfest..but thats ok..

I was very happy with the salute to the American Cowboy..  I know it is just ending, but was very pleased with all the different entertainment they had....(didnt really notice it during BG & BBQ)..

All in all another great year,

I still ahve 3 more visits during OTC before the season is really over, but no more breakfast, and of course there is no opening ceremony for some reason.. so it does seem like it is slwoly winding down.

It was a good year for me - this is the first year I was able to visit during World Fest (which I really enjoyed!)

I still wish the Woodcarvers hadn't moved, and I'll be sad to see Aunt Polly's close (unless something else that fits theme takes its place.  There seemed to be more opportunities to enter the park for $30 this year which I'm sure was really appreciated by families and visitors that can't afford regular admission.  I hope they keep that trend going.  Each time I visited, the park had just the right amount of "crowd" except for the Fall Fest - crowd to the maximum!  That should really help pay for that roller coaster!  The park was beautifully decorated during the fall fest.  I'm hoping next year they will have something to replace Headin' West.

Sad to see some food items leave, but I like all the new ones I tasted this year.  Those curly potato things on a stick - YUM!

I always enjoyed Kids Fest, but I approached it from a teacher's point of view and always walked away with new ideas and science projects to use in my classroom.  Sanddune, I still say they need to hire me as the education director! ...chemistry experiments, reader's theatre, kids cook, kids math, turkey tango...yup, they need me!  ;D

Looking forward to OTC!  My fav festival of all!

We have had a great time at SDC the 2 times we have gone this year. 1 trip was with my brother & girlfriend, he is always fun to go with. But, I did learn to take ya'r own car & not  ride in a back of a car for 4 hours. ::) Still looking forward to going Nov. 3 & 4th and check out the Christmas lights, it will be my very 1st time! ;D

We try to take new people with our extra 1 day passes but no one ever seems to have time, they usually go to waste. :(

Thanks SDC & forum friends, just reading the reviews makes me feel like i'm there. ;)

1 more thing.. am looking forward Outlaw Run next year. We are not getting SDC passes in 2013, but we will go 1 time just to ride this rolley coaster. 8)

I was so pleased with this season. I dont know why, but it seemed to be better than last year. It was a really fun season! We all know the major highlight was OR. Spring to fall, there was always something to look forward to. Very good season. Congrats on another stellar year SDC. I cant wait for 2013. Even if I become to lazy to stand in line to ride OR (yeah right), I still cant wait to see the new area and to at least watch OR go go go! Now onward to OTC! I have not experianced OTC and am elated to beable to this year! I think we have two trips planned. Hope we can make them!

This won't be my first time for Old Time Christmas, but the last time I went was in the 1990's! I was still just a kid. :o So after spending the previous decade attending World Fest, or Harvest Fest, it will be fun to see the lights once again. ;D

AND a big change for anybody that has not been for a while or never has been... IS SDC is upgrading up to LED lights.  They are really bright and very "sharp"!!!!(if you know what i mean)...

We had it all planned out to go this year till the SEC expanded and removed the return trip to Knoxville. UT was my second college choice. Had several friends from high school head east on 40, I just went west.
