Looks like during the fall festival, we are meeting some friends that have a small dog.

Question: where/who has puppy day care in the SDC area?

I know Paige has Pet rooms, but that may not work for us that weekend ???

The company that provides the dog treats for our friendly four-leggers is "Fancy Paws Couture". They do provide doggie day care and all kinds of other neat things for the pets. Their number is (417) 334-4761. They are open from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm Mon-Sat; 10:00 am -5:00pm on Sundays. They are located off Green Mtn Drive (www.fancypawscouture.com) if you want to check into that. Other than this company only other one I know of is out towards Forsythe.

I guess what I am actually looking for is a kennel in the area, where we can leave the dog for 2 or 3 days.

sanddunerider

ok, Paige I thought you would have an answer, i will call them and check it out! Thanks.

I'm not sure but they may know someone who will kennel that's closer, just haven't heard of anyplace "in Branson". If I had the time I would babysit!  ;)

I sure miss the days we were allowed to bring our dogs with us! I always brought mine. lol I kept them in a stroller before they sold dog strollers! lol haha They were small dogs. (two of them). Sure made the trip easier! ;o) Now we just stay at the wilderness and make sure to get a "shaded" camp site, and keep a fan going for them.

There's a real market void for doggie daycare in Branson, and I was surprised when I looked into it. It does no good to have pet friendly accommodations, if there's nowhere you can leave your dog for the day (or evening) while you hit the tourist attractions where your dogs can't visit.

Given how many families and retirees visit, and how those groups tend to have dogs they treat very well, you'd think someone would fill that void. The closest thing I've found with extended hours is the Petsmart in Springfield; they have boarding and day camp, and are open until 9 p.m.

KB  your right! I made some phone calls and nobody seem "friendly" over the phone.. closest people that sounds like they "care" is in Branson. ??? ???

I did find a daycare that Paige told me about, and they seem to be nice/good/caring people. But is it DAYCARE only 7-7 and is 25.00 per day

still looking.....................

There is a Residence Inn there. I only have a cat now. But Residence Inn is pet friendly and they allow pets. For the cat it's usually only a one time fee for the whole stay.

I am not sure about the one in branson, but when my inlaws came to visit us here in Kansas, and stayed at Residence Inn, I noticed they had a dog walking program. I am not sure of the price, but I noticed that the staff was taking a lot of dogs on walks! lol haha

Maybe call the one in branson and see what they have?

I am not trying to.......get some one to take some one else's room who may need it, but personally I am handicap and I always get the Residence Inn handicap room, and personally seeing the differences in them and the ones my inlaws always get, seems the handicap rooms are also more pet friendly! As the bathroom is huge and usually has a nice little place for me to put their water/food, and pet bed, litter box etc. Also the rooms being so big there is lots of room for them to play during the day, while we are gone. Again though doggies so much different, so I would see about the dog walking service.

we have decided to try Camp Little Paws for Mother in laws rat dog.. They are about 1 mile north of town on248, so it is close. Went out and checked the facility, guy was friendly, and willing to work with us on drop off/ pick up time. Facility was clean. And there daily fee is only 16.00 per day.. reasonable..

I drove out there from homestay last weekend, it took less than 15 minutes to find it and it has access from 465 coming from the north also.

wil see how the visit goes, and let you know..

Sounds good sanddunerider!

I look forward to hear if this is a good place. :)

Daycare at $25 or even $16 seems crazy to me.

My wife is a groomer working out of our home, and we offer limited boarding. It's a small part of the business; we have limited space, and mainly offer it for grooming customers who know their dogs are well looked after here (i.e., as spoiled as our own worthless beasts, lazing about on the furniture instead of in kennels).

She charges $10/day for small dogs and $20/day for large dogs (or for anyone she really wants to discourage  ;D ).

sanddunerider

actually KB,16.00 is very competitive. up here 2 different clinics charge 16 for small, 17 for medium and 17 for large,  so the branson price is right in line.

I am fortunate now, we have our 3 big labs and live in the country, when we leave they just stay outside at home and patiently await our return.  LOL.

when possible Mother in laws rat dog stays with my dogs and all is good.
