Opening Day 2011

Ok.  SO who is going opening day.  I will be there Thursday and Friday.  I can not go on the weekend but then might be going back the following weekend.  I can't wait to run into some of you guys there.

FYI...  Most shops are open..  I think more that last year.

well okla, i just posted on another thread that i will be the 24-25 for sure, But am really considering doing the 17th.  JUST because, I have never done the opening day thing.

 Have to see how the next 30 days progresses and make that decision then..

I wish I could be there Opening Day, but unfortunately our Spring Break is UBER-early (aka, first full week of March), so I will have class that Thursday and Friday. Maybe that Saturday, if I'm lucky.

I'm planning on going Fri/Sat but won't be able to make it on Thursday the 17th.

i checked and there will only be 4 "shows" going on at that time...  looks like the full schedule does not start until 4-7..

Sounds like more of the shops are going to be open this year and that's a great move.
I would love to see some less generic merchandise, last year they seemed to scrap the Nature store.  Here's to hoping they will start to include interesting things into there
stores and stray away from made in china merchandise.

I hafta admit I am getting the fever....itchy feet......SDC ITIS!!! It was so bad my kiddo and I watched SDC clips on the computer. We rode powderkeg, wildfire, fire in the hole.....we even rode the train, shook our fists and yelled ugly and gave alfie and ralphie bowlin money......if I were only already there!!!
The smell of asphalt and butane says home!
