Hi everyone,

I was just mulling over a fun idea of trying to come up with an SDC video game. Not a real one, mind you. Not something to actually try and get made. But just us coming up with the ideas for the fun of it. Like who would be the main character. Or would there be a variety of them? You could have a variety of picks of who to be in the game like Shad or M. Balmer? Levels of stages could be fighting the Baldnobbers, the Bolins, you could pick up food at some of the eating places for energy, get weapons from the craftsmaker, etc. What would the ultimate goal at the end? What is the game storyline? What are we trying to save or accomplish? Maybe there are hidden items to retrieve in G'pa's mansion. And you have to get so many points to ride the famous rides like FM or FITH so you can do certain things in those! The possibilities are endless. So whaddya' think, folks? Can we do this?

sounds like a great idea.  and i am waiting for the top ten list of items to accomplish.

I dont think I have a Top ten for this.  :D    I am too busy trying to come up with ideas for this thread! I was thinking of a storyline as the Herschends gets taken over by a mean businessman and you have to get the park back for them. Or the Baldknobbers take over the park and you have to fight them off and get 'em out.

ok, not real good at this..  but...
start with the cave and a couple of bldgs......

some how you earn customers to spend money.......

as you increase traffic you add to the park. rides and attractions, But you only have so much room or add/modify.

And of course as Your park grows, you would have to "hire" people to work, so that every day you open it "costs" you money for wage/insurance..

and dont forget about "breakdowns" on attractions.  more costs.......

How is that for a start>

Sounds like a SDC version of Roller Coaster Tycoon.
You have a great past just ahead of you.

Level 1-The Cave is like the many other 1980s games-you travel through a maze in the dark periodically lighting torches that stay lit for a short period of time, giving you a small glimpse of the labirinth. Your light only shows a small portion of the maze, so navigating can take a little work, but simple memorization gets you through rather quickly.
There are holes that you fall in, falling stalactites, and bats, typical cave level.

Several more levels that I'll post tomorrow...

Level 2 : The Miner's Shack. With the tilted floor, you have to navigate your way through the slip/ sliding world of the miner's shack. Imagine sliding down a large inclined plane and having to maneuver around objects and obstacles you are headed towards . It changes directions periodically sliding the opposite way. The worst is when you hit an obstacle, and all of your items that you have collected are sent flying around the room. Most of the time you can recollect the items if you get to them before Slantin' Sam does. Collect Silver Dollar Coins for credits to purchase items in the general Store. This is one of the harder levels, you just have to know what the pattern of tilting is, and when it is safe to go so you are not hit by a sliding grandfather clock (a nice elude to the current tilt house!) or flying horseshoe. AVOID the blue spots. These are water from the pump/ spigot, and they sent you directly into the nearest wall either spilling your objects everywhere, or ending your level.

Level 3: The Float Trip Rapids. Brave the rapids, and carry all of your cargo (and passangers) to shore safely. Watch out for the obstacles along the way-falling outhouses, other boats, whirlpools, all of which will end your turn. Points awarded on time it takes to cover the course. Bonus points awarded for each jumping fish caught in the boat. Collect errant packages left behind from other boats for a higher score.
