Who cares if it's a TNT replacement.  It's another coaster coming already.

Swoosh, just to clarify, did the email say "family coaster for 2029" specifically? Or is that your speculation that its 2029?

Duelist

^ Unless there was a newer email sent out since the one I got last August saying something different the wording was "family coaster" but they didn't specify a  time frame.  I figured it was for 2026 but we see how that turned out.

Periodically, some of us who are signed up to receive emails from SDC or from Herschend get emails that have survey links. Sometimes the surveys are about possible new rides, or about your last visit to SDC, or about your thoughts about travel to other parks and attractions.

Lol I keep getting the economic climate and "which parks I'm visiting in 2026" surveys. I'm pretty limited on my options this year so I just say SDC. Guess they don't want my input for future attractions. 😅

Yeah, it's been a while since I have received new attraction or rides surveys. But I get a lot of the other ones.

Have any of you gotten any more info on this yet?

Haven't seen anything new on it.

My most recent survives were both just general how was you visit surveys.

I'm thinking there will be a subtle tease or two at fan fest. Maybe even a hint at the announcement on the 14th

Got it.

So now that we know the 2027 project details, that raises more questions about what they might do to fill the TNT space.

I think they will still go for more of a family angle verses high thrill. Maybe a family invert?

The only thing that seems more certain now is that they probably won't just do a ride intended to be a direct successor to TNT, so no mine train concepts. I was starting to think the 2027 addition would be another high thrill coaster and MME would go where TNT was, but now it seems like the possibilities are wide open.

I am still sticking with what I have said before and I will die on that hill.

I think next construction to come will be as follows. This makes the most sense to me and will offer the best thrills. In no particular order:

New entrance with a new, wider layout as you walk in and exit. This will help traffic flow on high traffic days.

New train depot where old FITH was.

Relocate WW.

Tear down Flooded Mine, the current train depot, the old Waterboggan Tower, Pottery shop, possibly Riverfront Playhouse, possibly Frisco Barn, and possibly Carousel Barn for the Ice House (our version of Mystery Mine).

New, very long out and back coaster going around OR and near PK that will include drop tracks, forward/ reverse sections, and immense theming. Very similar to Hagrid's, but more spread out.

Tear down TNT for the new Bat themed Vekoma Suspended coaster, which will be mostly a compact coaster.

Possibly, hopefully, a new Flooded Mine, but no clue where it would go just yet.

I would also LOVE a new Mack Water Coaster (wink, wink).

If all that happens, I will eat my shoe and call you Alexander Osterman.
