Wildfire

OK, so those DC Rivals footers do look very close to what we're seeing.  Alot of the other Mack ones I've seen don't look any closer than alot of the Vekoma's and B&M's.

Whats interesting too is at 0:53 in this drone footage the layout looks just like the footer pattern currently seen next to Wildfire from this perspective. https://youtu.be/27u69VGRGZ0?si=DqpS-rlrT4rubAL_&t=52

Honestly, a vekoma  launched makes a lot of sense. Big bear did really well at Dollywood and could easily take on the mining theme. My only concern with another launched is the threat it poses to powdered. I can't lose another classic sdc attraction

As much as I wish this was a Mack hyper its just not lol. Its a TNT replacement done by Mack. Gonna be a cool mine-train thats family friendly but not very "thrilling"

Oh I know I just think its kinda funny if they are really gonna market this as the biggest mine train in the country or something since the employees I talked to all just smiled and said its gonna be big. Hopefully it's the longest in the park too. (4000+ft compared to TNT's 3100ft or the current longest one being Powderkeg at 3500ft)

hollijo

It is goin to be the longest ride in the park. I have heard a lot of things from people lately painting it out to be Silver Dollar City's take on Big Bear Mountain. I cant wait to see how marketing spins it to be the "biggest" "longest" whatever in North America or "West of the Missippi" haha.

Finally checked MG's project 2027, and construction sure has sped up. I'm sad to see the observatino deck go and hope it comes back, it was a nice little corner of the park to relax. Funny enough, on my last visit to SDC powderkeg was closed but testing, so i stood on the deck to get some test footage (was kinda hoping for a rollback) and i inadvertantly made myself a archive of the area, so thats nice. (does the site support video? i could upload it..)

Saw a few posts around the Internet talking about the construction. Everyone and I mean everyone is making note of how big the footers are. Lol I'm just over here surprised they are still in the footer construction phase and digging out large trenches, that footer garden next to Wildfire going into the woods is impressive too. I wonder when we will start seeing the station take shape along with track and supports?

BAAdventures

I would love to see the station start taking shape, unless it's underground. That would be a wild way to load in the coaster

hollijo

Does anyone have any updated photos or any word if there are supports or track on sight?

legoerosion

Believe it or not, they are still pouring footers. The amount of footers that are behind the waterfall in-between plunge and Powder Keg is insane. I didn't get a chance to check out the Wildfire side to see what's new unfortunately.

hollijo

Thanks for these! Man that is so many footers by the station. It makes me really curious as to what this layout is going to look like.

Heh I'll have to echo some comments I've seen on social media that it's pretty crazy to see that they are still in the pouring footers stage. No signs of track and supports or a station building yet.

I've also seen/heard that employees are referring to this as being both the largest investment and largest footprint attraction for the park.

hollijo

That is super exciting. I am really wondering when supports/track will get onsite.
