Well, according to this trip report, it looks like TNT will be getting a stay of execution thru at least the end of 2027 per Brad Thomas. (scroll to bottom pic) https://negative-g.com/silver-dollar-city/2025/coaster-christmas/silver-dollar-city-2025-coaster-christmas.htm

It will definitely be interesting to see how this all develops over the next few months. I figure we should be seeing the first track and supports erected by the spring. Anybody wanna speculate on the color scheme? I wonder if they will stick with the muted colors they have done previously or go for something more brightly colored?

It could have been something else, but I could have sworn I saw some steel supports behind the maintenance area when I rode the barn swing back mid December. They were bulky and square looking, but they were all in a pile. Could have been steel for a new maintenance building or something else, or even staging for the new resort.

I'm glad that TnT seems to be sticking around a little longer. I hope that SDC finds a way to refurb it in a way that it can stick around much longer (again, a full refurb + retracking + new steel supports would go a long way)

Some kind of announcement by the park coming Feb 16th. Probably the official start of this years teaser campaign. The real announcement will probably come in August as usual.

hollijo

Im curious, what color do you think the new roller coaster will be. I also want to hear people's name predictions.

New teaser: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/182LHKq4J7/

There will be an announcement on Monday, February 16. Remember, this is just the beginning of what should be a months long teaser campaign with the full announcement coming later in the year.

I won't repost it here but there's someone who is a construction worker that claims to know what it is and is posting comments about it on SDC's FB posts. I am very skeptical as it could be a troll but it's probably best if nobody else reposts it here either. We don't want this board to get into trouble with the park. Let's not forget the leaked Outlaw Run fiasco.

TNT Final Season.
It WILL NOT be open in 2027 like Brad said.

Now I'm wondering why Brad lied(or the decision was forced by corporate)
Anyways, I think it's a pretty bad decision on SDC's part. If project 2027 is a Mack hyper like rumored, the park will lack a true family coaster- something for 8 year olds to get used to thrill rides. The jump between FITH and powder keg is pretty big. Whatever replaces TnT won't be here until '29-'30 at the earliest. If they had to close it, they should have pushed it until after project 2027 opens.

Yeah it definitely seems like it was pushed by corporate. It's just weird and financially wasteful when they just rebuilt some of the support structure in the final drop late last year (you can see the new wood and metal) and refurb the 2nd Train just to kill it a year later. Seems like the park is bent on getting rid of all their legacy attractions now. The 2030 project will probably come at the expense of Flooded Mine. Super disappointing trend to say the least. But as Swoosh and a couple others  previously mentioned it seems corporate doesn't get the style of the old park and wants it remade in their own image...

With this news, I don't think Project 2027 is a Mack Hyper which has been the popular rumor via YouTubers. (there's a chance of it being a low intensity Stryker still) Realistically now It will probably be Macks take on Firechaser Express at Dollywood. While it's a cute coaster it doesn't hold a candle to TNT. Also Hershend corporate came out a couple weeks ago saying Hyper/Giga coasters aren't in their portfolio because it's not their target demographic for the chains future. AKA Family coasters from here on out.
